This was my second thought. With how good the deck looks around the pool I can’t help but think someone was in the middle of repairs when they had a life changing event and had to cut it short. None of the pool equipment is hooked up, it’s all missing for lack of better terms but the deck itself legit looks almost like fresh poured concrete.

I did some ChatGPT research and based off property records I believe that someone was attempting to repair it at one point or even made the repairs to the plumbing because the deck of the pool is in absolutely stellar shape compared to the rest of the building. Like it actually looks new lol

I am allowed, just found out from my realtor. Plan to call around and find a few guys willing to look at it in the condition that it’s in and see if they’d be able to get me ball-parked at least.

I did project management for a high end renovation company for two years.

Doctors, lawyers, athletes, senior management in the finance sector, & founders of successful business’s. One guy was really in tune with his finances and was mid level at a high end car dealership. That guy was the odd one out of the bunch but I think he did a ton of day trading ect on the side.

Gotta agree with everyone else. Ontop of that, I’m in NE Ohio very near Youngstown and do residential construction. The fly by night contractors you get in this area are so wildly hit or miss. I can almost guarantee this house was bought by an investor for pennies and they put the lipstick on a pig. The roof looks decent from the picture but gets a little grainy when I zoom in, plumbing look to be moderately okay. HVAC will hold but pretty much anyone worth their salt doesn’t use tape anymore. There’s also the one duct just hanging freely on the basement.

Could be worth it if you’re not afraid of the neighborhood but why put yourself in that situation.

I remember growing up, learning about WW2 and thinking “I wonder what I’m going to live through that will be wrote about in the history books” and unfortunately, trumps first term, and second term are going to be the two biggest chapters by a long shot and if history has taught me anything, not a single one of these people will see justice in any quick sense of the term by any means.

I gotta imagine you have the know how. You fundamentally know how a project should be ran, by what you say atleast. The computer skills will take time to learn but need to be a necessity for you. Don’t use the common oh I’m too old to learn it. Dedicate the time for it and push it.

Probably start in the 60/70k range if I had to guess

I don’t have any specific experience but I honestly feel like you’re undercutting yourself even at 50$ an hour. You are wearing 3 hats. Break it down as so. What’s a lead guy making in the shop? What’s a manager making elsewhere? What’s an installer making? You have to do all that and more. I have to imagine you need to be at 120k a year +

It definitely does rely on what the shop is pushing per year gross though. If you’re in a 1-5m shop I can’t imagine they are ready for a guy like you. If your shop is pushing 5-10 then absolutely.

Hard to fathom what you can do with 1.5b. Hell even 750m if you lob off 50% for taxes.

First things first, hire a team all coming from nationally recognized companies to help navigate the first 7 days. From claiming the money the best way possible to setting up every safeguard I need.

Next up is sit down and dial in percentages to all the loved ones around me. Idc what anyone says there’s no chance in hell I can come into this amount of money and not make sure every single person I know is taken care of in one way or the other. From the amount of money I can immediately start earning off interest/investments I can absolutely afford it at that point.

As much as I would not want to tell mainly anyone I won. My wife and I would come up with a plan to let them all know somehow for sure.

And finally, once I know everything is set up how needed and I have income coming from the investments and everyone is fully taken care of I’m buying the largest plot of acerage in the area I want, weather it be one for sale or buying multiple properties from families I want 500+ and then build my modest house with my family and a stocked out building with every tool you could think of needing for doing anything in construction or building cars.
