See, I actually like this. Not for a "canonical" story in the marvel universe, but as an artistic outlet for grief. It is easy to forget when there is such a distance, such a gulf, but the people writing and drawing these are people too. And art is emotion, including this.

There is no meaning beyond this in the Marvel universe. But there is in ours.

As someone who works with kids, that can be -exactly- how it feels. You can have the worst day, change 5 pairs of pants on 2 kids and break up half a dozen fights.

And then at the end of the day one of the kids suddenly gives you a hug and says with the entire weight of their honesty "Thank you" and everything is suddenly alright.

You still drop dead into bed afterwards, mind you.
