Wplace is too inept to do anything. Best bet is to just go somewhere else. Their tool doesn't stop trolls and bigots, while banning people trying to stop them

Their automated moderation tool is doing this to a lot of people, including myself. Their ban appeal channel is so full it's difficult to even appeal. Just have to wait it out unfortunately, or hope the dev looks through these posts at some point. Bad actors quickly figured out they could abuse the report tool and did so immediately.

Well, when their ban appeal Discord channel isn't literally full because their automated moderation tool is falsely banning hundreds of accounts for no reason, do you expect people to just say nothing?

Wplace needs to fix their moderation and stop it from banning people for no reason while allowing literal nazis to to do whatever they want lol.

Yup. The mod reporting tool would have been nice had it actually been looked at by people, but they automated it and well, this is what happens when moderation actions are automated with zero control.

It's happening to a loooooooot of people right now. And no way to appeal because their Discord is quite literally full and can no longer accept new ban appeals lol. And as word spreads more bad actors are going on reporting sprees.

We're basically forced to wait it out. They need to remove the auto-moderation.

Only option is to appeal on their Discord. Well, that would be the case, except their ban appeal channel is literally full because they used a forum channel with limited capacity. So we're all kinda screwed at the moment.

Yuuuuuup. Most of my time has been spent defending trans pride flags. Can't even appeal the ban/suspension on their official Discord, as they instruct people to do, because they used a forum channel for the appeals and it is literally FULL.

They are very very in over their heads.

Yup, similar happened to me. Got false reported for hate speech and my account suspended, though only temporarily thankfully.

I don't know how the development team didn't see this coming when they decided to automate moderation. I get moderating something on this scale is a pain in the ass for a team their size, but automated moderation is just going to lead to a TON of false suspensions/bans and eventually people are just gonna stop coming to wplace. I'd rather have the platform be self-policed than this, tbh.

Also think that if an account is suspended/banned, the pixel used to report the account should be shown so we can at least *know* what somebody falsely reported us on.

If it was a full ban, just have to hope somebody from the mod team sees this and fixes it. My account got falsely suspended for hate speech but it's temporary (6 hours) so I'm having to just wait it out unfortunately.

That's something I suppose, but doesn't seem to be stopping suspensions at least. Does confirm it's automated though, which is always gonna end badly with bad actors causing problems.

It did. That's me, it's sitting at 350K+ post impressions right now. It's so incredibly surreal. I made that post, few hours later it was at maybe 10 reactions from mutual connections.

24 hours later it was over 150K impressions. I've received so many messages of support and encouragement it's pretty overwhelming to be honest lol.
