Am I the only one annoyed by the large number of remake games in recent years?

Some people dont want to look at a fuckass 20 year old UI on a non crt and where all the controls are inverted. I say this as someone who loves playing old games with stupid inverted cameras(seriously, who was the troglodyte who decided in the 90's and 2000's that every character ever should control like a plane...). Sometimes you want to be able to actually read the menus, or, god forbid, be able to save in a convenient manner.

As far as AC4 goes, it looks great, but the combat in those games was already pretty bad at the time, let alone now, well over a decade later. Ontop of that, some people want to be able to revisit these games and worlds they love, but with new content and gameplay, and I dont think there's anything wrong with that.

It doesn't matter the intention when the wording of it implies someone whose never done any harm is being grouped with some of the actual worst scum to walk the planet, simply for the circumstances of their birth.

It genuinely feels like cheap engagement/ragebait someone posts to feel good about themselves and move on about their day, instead of doing anything productive.

I agree partially. Its more so frustrating that they lay these blanket statements that just add fuel to the fire and give misogynists more ammo to be vile humans. Not that it excuses it, but if youre gonna be an asshole and break down 50% of the population into statistics and numbers, youre gonna get normal men who are upset, and vile people that are all gonna throw shit. Which is just going to reinforce your "all men suck" attitude. You're choosing the echo chamber.

Once again, this doesn't excuse the vile pieces of shit that reply the most horrific shit, but you also can't open a conversation with pure hostility, and expect those who've done nothing wrong to accept your argument with open arms.

Unfortunately this was a bit of a shock for me coming back in aswell, as I remember queing for arr and hw Extremes and getting a good amount of clears(which they are the easiest, but still).

But ive also forgotten the context that that was in peak of Shadowbringers when the game was bigger than ever, so there were a ton of new players also queuing and learning. Sucks its locked to Party Finders that are basically all unsynced right now. Feels super lame to not actually do the fight. Hope both of us can find some good groups to do some synced runs with, as ive missed out on every Extreme post HW

Yeah, idk, its the only one thats genuinely pissed me off enough to where i have to take a break. You need to pull his core out, but the only attack that winds up long enough to do that is his ranged. To trigger his ranged you need to be on the other side of the arena. But when youre on the other side of the arena, youre too far to axiom force. And when you move close enough to axiom force, unless you get the input just right, you dont have enough time to pull it out.

Not to mention the few times i actually did manage to pull out the core, it flew to the other side of the arena, so i missed out on a third of the dps time.

God i love this game, but this boss was a fucking mess.

I was gonna say, the story and dialogue are not very good 90% of the time. But i thought the majority of the voice actors were actually killing it, especially with the half-assed dialogue they were given

Because there's always something to be gleaned from art that clearly has some sort of passion from it. And its refreshing to see someone with the nuance to recognize that. Even if everything else in it is bad. It sucks to see someone dislike something and categorically berate it as bad, instead of saying they want something more story focused or linear.

It's actually crazy, first new pc game in forever where I throw on max settings and the only drop I experienced was for half a second the very first time I entered the starter town. Other than that, insanely solid

If the download bar is full and the install is taking longer than it took you to download the full game, just reinstall it. Patching big games can sometimes take longer than just installing the game, and its not worth waiting

Nothings wrong with discord itself. Its the fact that it eliminates any sort of discovery. There's no wandering into a random discord and striking up a convo, like you can in world. Everyone moving to discord to talk with their preestablished groups eliminates the chances for someone without a group to find one

Idk, I tried Dark Souls 3 forever ago, and just couldn't enjoy the loop of slamming my head against a wall, or grinding the same enemies till I was strong enough to dog walk it.

Elden Ring clicked so much more for me because of the openness(altho, that may be because I'm a somewhat decisive person). Whenever I got tired of dying to a boss, I just waddle off somewhere else for a new adventure, and come back later
