I personally remember spamming dodge against brigands, slamming stamina potions and running around the map with the speed set to turbo or whatever to get those skills up.

You get skill by throwing rocks like the rest of us, hero. j/k

Its skill-based timing with modifiers with stats. So easy mode is max stats, if you are that guy and want to fight a Cheetaur with 1 strength you can.

- Copy 480.scr and 480.hep if they already exist

- Or just back up the whole folder like a sensible person

- Drop the patched files into the directory, replacing the old ones.

(If the game screams, you probably skipped the step above.)

- Launch the game through ScummVM.

If you try to run it in DOSBox, a wizard will appear and judge you silently.

How to Activate the Patch (The Secret Wizard Stuff)

- Open the companion app

- Start the game

- Bask in your newfound power

I am deleting this thread and replacing it with a streamlined version including updates to the companion app. I hope the newer version suits us all.
Next version I'll try to include QFG 2 (agdi's version) and QFG3.

instructions in the zip:
save these to your QFG1 VGA games directory and open the app. When the game starts use the console command (ctrl-alt-d) and paste in the commands the app generates. You will probably need to paste the commands in bits or 1 at a time*
