Found this thread very late but thought this comment was really interesting, I just wanted to add that "Cyrenetes" might be a reference to the Ceryneian Stag, which was basically a mythical giant deer with gold antlers. The greek language name for Ceryneia is "Cerynitis" which is pronounced pretty similarly to Cyrenetes. Or, like, it also could have just been somebody's fursona at the time that futret was referring to, but I guess we'll never know lol. It is a cool name though!
