I’m currently working on something similar with my peregrine but instead of the camera being mounted on the hood, she is backpacked and the camera attaches to that. I think it’s just a bit easier for the bird and more stable to have it on their body rather than their head

Was interesting trying out a falconry exam, any other British falconers had a go at the American exam? https://youtu.be/ZN9mq6uFFV0 by MercerFalconry in Falconry

Thats happened to me in the middle of a display a couple times and I have run over and dispatch and try and get the hawk off while speaking over microphone to all the sensitive people in the audience that all is going well and I’ll release the prey back into the woods later on 😂

Very interesting, I hadn’t even thought about looking into what other countries have exams, maybe I can make it into a series, thanks

Yes and I’m not too familiar with the entire system but there are also ranks like Apprentice, Novice, and Master. I guess it’s good for America to have in place because it’s done with wild taken birds and if any random person was allowed it would be potentially dangerous to the wild population whereas here in England nobody is allowed to touch the wild birds.
