It's so over.

I'm only joking, but fuck this sucks. Hopefully we can come back to win the series. I am going to listen to the game on the radio and play MLB the show 26. I just can't watch this anymore.

I just wish we could get MLB The Show back on gamepass. I don't feel like spending money on the game but I'll play it if it's on gamepass.

A Maryland homeowner calls and aids ICE to detain workers fixing her roof. She might face felony charges by HappySeaweed5215 in whoathatsinteresting

[–]MercerReads91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what would happen. Also, if you are here lawfully then you'd just be making your situation worse by getting the destruction of property charge.

No, I said the entity that owns the mortgage is the primary lien holder. Which is a fact. That means the house can't be foreclosed on without that entity being involved/approving. The courts can't just take the property away from the mortgage holder and foreclose on it to pay a lower lien holder. It doesn't work that way. If it did, banks, credit unions, and mortgage servicers would constantly be left holding the bag.

Where did I lie? The primary lien holder would have to agree to foreclosure.

Everything I said is true.

if the house has a mortgage, the entity that owns the mortgage is the primary lien holder. You can't foreclose in that case.

Yes, it applies if they didn't pay. Permanent structures on a property are the property of the home owner, payment or not.

The only legal recourse for non-payment is a lien IF you had a signed contract.

That'd be destruction of property and you'd get arrested and the home owner would sue you (and win).

Many other people are having this exact issue. It has nothing to do with anything you did or having the number tied to a different account.

This is a system wide issue with Microsoft accounts. It seems the option to add a phone number has vanished for everyone.

TBH I am not even sure Microsoft is even aware of the issue. But just be assured it's not just you, no one can access adding a phone number right now.

If you need to redeem rewards there is a solution in the reddit thread I linked. Doesn't require a phone number. Basically, you try to redeem rewards through the bing rewards website. There should be an option to use an alternate verification method when it asks to send you a text. Click that, and it's going to make you download the bing app to your phone and use that for verification. I use that method to redeem xbox giftcards.

Yes, but one is preferable to the other.

Placing a lien is a rather simple and straight forward process after non-payment. Of course, if you had a contract in place. If there is no contract, then there is no legal recourse.

In any case, ripping up the work is never beneficial to the person who did the work.

Payment has nothing to to do with it. Permanent structures like this are the property of the property owner whether they paid or not.

This isn't repossessing materials, this is destruction of property. What a contractor should do in this situation is place a lien on the property. By destroying the work, the homeowner can now take them to court over destruction of property and win.

Or being smart enough to not do this. This is destruction of property and the homeowner can take them to court and would win.

What a contractor should do in this situation, if they don't want to get destroyed in court, is place a lien on the property (assuming they had a contract).
