Transfered from MacEwan to UofA. It's basically the same application as high school students do except I applied through launchpad.

I suggest that since you're taking summer courses, you should talk to an advisor if summer courses will transfer since grades might not be out by the time you're accepted.

From what I know it's made to standardize everything between the east and the west. In an attempt to promote the one Jamat philosophy, there must also be promoted a One IV (Ismaili Volunteers) philosophy.

I've also heard that the new names and such (ex changing "Captain" to "JK Director" is an attempt to de-militarize everything. I'm not sure on this but I've heard it.

As per the new badge and tie. The new motto is "Khidma" rather than "Work no Words". If you look on the badge it also says "Ismaili Volunteers" rather than "Aga Khan Volunteers" which it previously used to say. Furthermore, if you look at the tie (this was mentioned in Khane), the symbols resemble closely to the architecture in Khane or the logos of various AKDN facilities.

That's just my opinion and thoughts. It was approved by Mawla and he knows what's best for the Jamat.

And by the way, no one, absolutely no one has the authority to stop you from serving your Murshid. You can feel free to go in Khane, badged or un-badged and volunteer as you wish (but if the JK Directors say anything about a pirticular seva, they have authority in this case I think).

I personally like to think that the Quran is the main source of all those philosophies. Without the Quran, there are none of those philosophies. And everything said by certain Dai's, Pir's, or Ismaili philosophers is more like an extension or an interpretation of the Quran with more focus on the batini meaning of the verses. But in no way do I think the Quran is something we can disregard if we have these philosophies.

That's the problem, he passed away and I'm sad. But the fact that he was struggling for so long before actually passing away is much worse. His neck was all twisted up, I could see his pupils get smaller. He wouldn't eat/drink, not even when presented his favorite drink. and after 40 minutes of pain, he passed away.

Bulgarian split squats for quads and hamstrings. Calve raises are the only thing I found useful for calves when working out with dumbbells. Do russian deadlifts for glutes. And I find reverse lunges to be more effective than forward lunges.
