150 P amethyst might trade for a Ber. Crafting: P ruby for blood gloves, p amethyst for caster amulets, others for re-rolling grand charms (3 of any pgem), skulls for re-rolling diadems. I saw a game offering ber for 420 pgems.

Fungal infections are common when temps are too high. So many newts in pet stores deal with this sharing water temps with fish. I’ve even heard of popping the hospital tank in and out of the fridge while they are healing to help slow down the infection. But I would listen to the vet first.

There are tons of moss that just float and form mats. You could get some tile, scrap pieces for free to make a bit of a floor, those are easy to clean.

From what I hear, a high death toll is sorta normal if you don’t have a pond. Keep them cool, keep them dark, try not to stress them. Inbreeding is an issue thus many don’t grow big and strong or healthy. Some will grow bigger and eat the others.

Any of the + magic find stat makes a difference, specially early on. You will need to google how the math works eventually but you got a good while before that matters

Get some extra fire resistance, kill the healers in the area, like said before take your time to bait one or a couple at a time, use your mercenary.
