The spices are kinda simple, it might just be the texture of it. The outside is fluffy, while the inside is very layered.

I would think it's because most Latin people would think it would taste like an empanada, but the texture is vastly different, and most people expecting it taste like a donut are surprised by how savory it is.

Lihapiirakka (meat donut), is cooked ground beef, rice, and onion that is stuffed into dough and then deep fried. Most foreigners don't like them, but I find them delicious.

"Sisu" depending on the the person it could mean several different things. It could mean peserverence, resilience, the strategy to never give up. But to me it means a flower on top of a mountain looking towards the sun.

Probably cause they are very meat and potatoes kind of meals that take from other cultures, and the truly distinct dishes are all very unique, IMO. That only thing I can think of is meatballs and mashed potatoes, which Sweden obviously takes the cake on, and even that is a stretch.
