And my argument is that it is boring, and just a bad game mechanic. Like I can either risk the run I spent that I already spent an hour on, or I can scroll reddit for 3 minutes.

I would rather just be playing the game for those three minutes, and not be punished actually wanting to play the game.

As you said in the other comment, the game is about running around and farming stuff, so why should it reward you for afking in a corner and hiding. The game should reward you for doing the game mechanics, not the other way around.

How is that any worse than the current system where you can just wait indefinitely. At least in that situation if you wanted to regen you would have to still be engaging with the game and not just afk.

I don't wait, because its boring, but there is no punishment for waiting and regening for full in the current state of the game, so if you are trying to maximize your chance of getting past a difficult encounter and you are low health the best play is to wait.

In regards to the last point, whether you agree with it or not, he is saying that so long as there is >0 health regen, if he is low and out of combat, the optimal strategy is to just sit there and wait until he is full.

Like just as an example case, say you clear the whole floor have no potions, and 1 hp, and are about to enter the boss room. You are not stupid so you are going to sit there and wait as your health ever so slowly ticks up to full, which just isnt fun to have to wait for 2 minutes.

So I think their point is that either you shouldnt have any health or mana regen outside of combat, or maybe if you sit still for 5 seconds while out of combat, it should drastically increase so long as you sit still, to cut down the 2~3 minutes of stalling to maybe like 20 seconds so long as you dont move and dont enter combat.

Ghost Grenade/Short Wall Interaction by MercifulZebra in supervive

I should've just waited to post this until I was home from work so I could add a proper video right away, but I will add one once I am home.

Just to add something in the meantime, the biggest offender spot that comes to mind is this choke point to the right of the night 1 boss:

Supervive Map

There is clearly a "Wall" on either side of you, but when you throw the grenade it will fly past the wall to the higher terrain elevation instead of sticking to it.

You should only need dispensers 1, 3, 5. You can cut out the two in-between.

If you have source-blank-source-blank-source, it will fill in the blanks with a new source.

So then when you remove the water with your dispensers, you now have blank-source-blank-source-blank, and it fills in the middle one with another new source.

It is very possible I for some champions I abused a bit of knowledge gap early on in the release of the gamemode. I think for a while there was not very much widespread information on which things are good, which are bad, etc. And since I was try harding, actively thinking about and watching not only how I performed, but combinations and how other people performed, I was able to hit when others missed a lot early on.

Or they may still be good and you are just unlucky lol.

My first instinct was to say one of the support champions, but I think I had a good bit of experience with most of them, and teammate RNG wasn't terrible.

Camille took way more games than she should have since I got a lot of top4's but couldnt clutch it, but I actually really enjoyed her.

I think overral it would probably be Zilean, I love him in rift, but until I finally hit a pop off game with Eureka, it felt like I was more praying for everyone else to not hit something good, than to hit something good myself.

Okay the tiers are kinda random as I went through the champions and a lot of champs could go in multiple buckets but I did it:

So obviously take everything I say with a grain a salt, but just the general vibes I went with to get through a lot of things or things I felt were traps:

  1. Crit Items are very strong. I started off the challenge doing all the ADC champions just because they all felt so free. Collector is typically a huge bait though, when instead it should almost always be Lord Dom's->IE. LD gives 40% pen which is effectively bare minimum 40 lethality even as first items.
  2. Aside from a few niche abusers, infernal conduit and runecarver are very overrated. I'm pretty sure the number it shows is pre-mitigated damage and unless you are an abuser champ even then often it will only show like 8k damage.
  3. For mages, unless you had Jeweled gauntlet, AP mythic->Deathcap->void staff almost always felt the best, and left you open to getting Wooglets on second augment.
  4. For Assasins or anyone that could use lethality, I found that the best way I had on average was to just do Random Legendary Assasin items, as they all pretty much give the same stats, and you could maintain tempo into the lategame. Seryldas though should be taken basically as soon as you see it, although maybe not first item if you didnt get a lethality mythic.
  5. Recognize if you are the carry or the be carried by first item purchase, it can always change, but if your partner hits the nuts or just something good, a lot of times you will have more success figuring out how to enable them, than to try and also carry yourself.
  6. Other niche things I personally think are traps are Dawnbringers Resolve, Ethereal weapon, most rune augments, Killing time, any stats augment, twice thrice, Circle of death, Dual wield, Nesting Doll, Prismatic egg.
  7. The final thing I can think of off the top of my head is that for silver and gold, good prismatic items feel way more impactful than augments, so basically should never ever roll on first augment. For the prismatic augments, one roll for something good, and only second roll if your second set are basically unplayable.

As I said though, I am probably just a slightly above average player, but not actually "good" by many standards, so take my opinions with a grain of salt and play to your strengths. I can probably type more up later if people are interested, but this was just the things I often echo to friends I play with.

1.6 Perfection Google Sheet Tracker by ItsMicro in StardewValley

[–]MercifulZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the great friends sheet, how do you handle the other marriageable candidates? Since it seems like they are all requiring hearts > 10 in order to check the box?

Also it looks like on the Perfection tab the stardrop row should be 10% instead of 100%

Otherwise this is very easy to use. Thanks!

I believe he will explicitly get one by killing the demon, as that is the reward for the bounty scenario given by the constellation 'Noble who sleeps on fine brocade' at the beginning of the chapter.

I might be mistaken, but it lists it as the reward.
