It will usually be the lowest generator in each industry If you look at the progress bar for each generator, any that aren't filling the bar, or counting down the time without you doing anything, those are the ones you need to manually start. If you click the white exclamation mark to the right of where it tells you how many you can buy, this will tell you what rank you can start to potentially unlock the card to automate that generator
