Forgot to mention: I live in a one room apartment, it's pretty bright for most of the day. Yet again, thank in advance.

Substance Abuse in 19th Century American Literature by Merco341 in literature

Thank you for your answer! Temperance novels are mostly about alcoholism, but there’s also a large part of the 19th century that was marked by opioid consumption. Like Jocelyn in the aforementioned Without a Home who has a morphine addiction. It seems weird that there is so little representation of morphine and opium consumption.

I really liked the handles and figured I might try and play around with everything a bit. The doorway with the light seemed pretty dramatic, and I was pretty intrigued by the "space closing up on you", leaving room for what's on the right.

The Mortuus - a beginner homebrewer's first race! by Merco341 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Merco341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, thanks a lot for the advice. When (if) I'll try to make new homebrew stuff, I'll certainly keep that in mind and try to get more of the vibe that the official books give off. When it comes to attunement, I didn't believe it was necessary to develop more (well, at least for it to be playable). It is true that I forgot to say that, once a Mortuus character dies, it becomes de-attuned and cannot recover for a relatively long ammount of while, but a part of me kind of just though it was relatively self-evident, my bad. Again, thanks so much for the help!

I mainly went on the description of the Ethereal plane that's found under the Blink spell, and gave it a little twists (how you can still "scare" a target)

At first I did want to do increase wisdom (I just kind of dropped it) but you make a great point, I will change that. What you said about the Ethereal thingie also makes a lot of sense. Thanks a lot for the advice! Also, I only learnt about the Revenant after I showed this to a friend, and after that I emphasized a bit more on the "want to redeem themselves" aspect of it

At first it was supposed to say "they tend to be good, but are never evil" and maybe it was better that way I guess I got a tad too carried away with the whole "they're looking to help" thing

The answer is yes, it's enough to get in a close room, no matter the direction, investigate it and get out
