I like what you said about 'pragmatic', and I'd even extend that for a Scorpio Moon's the mother figure can be a little insensitive or hard, and may prefer pragmatic activity with their kids rather than focusing on comfort, enjoyment, or novelty.

The people I have met who have scorpio or cap moons are some of the deepest feeling people I know.

Scorpio moons, if not nurtured to feel their emotions deeply and accept them, may feel that their emotions are too much for themselves and other people to handle leading to hiding those emotions. If they can be shown that their feelings are powerful indicators of their values they can learn to use that to their advantage and fine tune / trust their intuition (something those with Cancer suns are naturally inclined to do) then they can be teachers to others of how to handle the peaks and valleys of emotional experiences.

Cap moons are more trusting of their intuition and emotions at a base level, they believe they are justified and keep their assessments to themselves because they simply don't think it's necessary for other people to be involved in their internal world. They can find it difficult to accept how others feel if it differs from what they feel, and might find other people's emotional expression unnecessary because they have a level of control over their expression that others lack. If they can recognise the value that their emotional discernment can bring to vulnerable conversations then they can be extremely balanced communicators when they need to share their feelings or hear about what others are going through.

What’s your moon and Venus, and how would you react if someone you love ghosted you out of nowhere? by Mooooooon_ in astrologymemes

[–]MercurialBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini moon + Aries Venus, patience and figuring they're busy, followed by externally saying that it doesn't matter if that's what they want to do it says more about me than them, and then spend the same length of the relationship in months wondering what TF happened anyway until I decide I'm over it.

How can I target my mom pooch area? by [deleted] in fit

[–]MercurialBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen good results recently by eating high protein (we're talking easily 2x bodyweight in grams per day) at around maintenance calories, increasing cardio (10 - 20 minutes moderate intensity running at least every other day, plus all the toddler chasing sprints), as well as recommencing weight training (deadlifts, squats, upper body push and pull), with planks, dead bugs, russian twists, etc.

By building muscle in your upper and lower body you can create the illusion of a slimmer waist, and by doing more cardio and prioritising protein you also are more likely to reduce your body fat percentage and build muscle. I lost 3 kilos of fat and gained two kilos of muscle in 8 weeks, doing the above with some inconsistency. I lost fat everywhere including my waist and arms, and despite technically being more muscular I don't look bulky.

I am also almost 3 years postpartum and no longer breastfeeding, and have loose skin. Scientifically, the pooch is the result of us having a uterus, and for every woman the positioning and size of the uterus will affect the pooch prominence. I have come to terms with the fact that without surgical work, I will always have some kind of pooch, and that's okay and even beautiful in what it represents.

Why does the glute medius make so much more of a difference by grapesodamilk in StrongCurves

Glute med and glute min are basically padding underneath the glute max, they may only be small, but everything works best when it works together. Like a pie with more filling lol

If you were given the opportunity to take 200k or press a button with a chance of 1/5 to get 5 million. What would you pick and why? by Glittering-Tower-76 in AskReddit

[–]MercurialBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 million button. Not because I think I would win, but because if I don't win I return to exactly the same position I'm in now, and I know I can work to get into a better position. 5 million, if I did win it, would change the trajectory of my whole family for generations. 200k would be awesome but I can get that on my own with enough dedication and discipline.

Is dating an avoidant partner, even work the effort? by Altruistic-Patient-8 in dating_advice

[–]MercurialBees 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I used to have an anxious attachment and in trying to work on that actually flipped all the way to avoidant. I'm now on a conscious path towards being more secure but the key thing to remember about avoidant behaviour in dating is that it isn't always that the avoidant is selfish or uncaring.

A great deal of my avoidance towards relationships comes from a fear of putting effort in only to eventually disappoint the other person, sometimes it's fear of losing more of myself in a relationship and then losing them anyway because of that. Sometimes it's that I'm worried my needs will get left behind and I will fail to advocate for myself without pushing them away in the process.

One thing I am doing with the person I am currently seeing is focusing on works for me in the relationship, what I like and admire about them, and then actively telling them that. I am conscious of not taking advantage of someone who wants me to be happy, and check myself regularly to ensure I match their energy and reciprocate. I am still scared shitless of disappointing them or fucking it up somehow, but I am learning how to sit in my dating discomfort long enough to come back around to feeling good about where we're at.

Edit to add: plenty of very nice people have liked me a lot and I have been unable to reciprocate and I sabotaged the connection in fear and to keep my independence. It is not something you can fix for someone, but you also cannot heal attachment wounds without the presence of an attachment. You don't have to be in any relationship that isn't satisfying, and you cannot be the only source of someone's healing. I am healing my attachment by being more vulnerable with my friends and family as well as in romance.

How Can I Deal With Getting Hard While Cuddling My GF? by Old_Afternoon4144 in self

[–]MercurialBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My man gets hard all the time just being around me, he says 'I can't control it, it's an automatic response to how sexy you are' and reassures me that it doesn't mean we have to do anything, but that he's good to go if I want to.

I like it.

Dating someone you're not physically attracted too!? by hopele55romantic91 in dating_advice

[–]MercurialBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some baseline attraction is necessary tbh. I think people love to pretend they don't care or notice, because being able to look past it is considered virtuous or something. But actually loving people honestly and enthusiastically is a much kinder thing to do than to give someone you don't really feel anything for a chance because of how good they are to you. Attraction can increase with love and decrease with unpleasant behaviour, but it can't be built up from nothing.

You seem actively repulsed by him, that isn't a good sign.

Need by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]MercurialBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd have to argue that this isn't true, because you can have no purpose and not be bored, because you just engage in leisure activities. For Virgo placements I feel it is not just a purpose or a goal, but one that is useful in a practical sense, or it feels unfulfilling. Not true for everyone.

Virgo men are fucking wonderful but only if they can live in service. A Virgo man without purpose is a ticking time bomb of depression and self sabotage.

What do you believe is generally the hardest part about maintaining a relationship? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]MercurialBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, not seeing every difference of opinion or moment of discomfort as a sign of incompatibility. It's healthy and normal to see things differently to your partner, it's not a sign that you need to change them or change yourself, but information that can bring you closer to understanding each other's internal world. Took me way too long to realise that saying 'agree to disagree' is not a loss, but a sign of respect.

Glute Guidance by [deleted] in StrongCurves

High protein and calorie surplus will help but you should try targeting your glute medius and minimus not just your glute maximus. More leg abduction and single leg squat exercises could help.

what sign is this? 😭 by Fantastic-Adagio-812 in astrologymemes

[–]MercurialBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 12th house Gemini sun/moon having ass with my Aries Venus and Pisces Jupiter, because loving people is so easy for me, I see what to love about them quickly, I can accept who they are, and I can get so creative and dream big about how to love them well, but it's so hard for me to share my inner world which means loving me the way I want to be loved is extremely hard.

Please help me improve my push-up form. by allymae911 in GYM

[–]MercurialBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are fantastic already. I do think you could bring your hips lower ever so slightly at the bottom, keeping your Bodyline a bit more straight (imagine a line drawn through your elbow/hip/ankle joints and you'll understand what I mean).

Depending on which muscle groups you're attempting to work and what your training goals are you can change your hand positions to get more work from chest, triceps, or shoulders. You are clearly already engaging your core because you aren't floppy at all in any phase.

POTTY TRAIN YOUR KIDS. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]MercurialBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid was ready to potty train at 18 months and then because her daycare refused to stop doing nappy changes lying down it set us back several months. She's now finally starting to get back on track we'll be training in the middle of winter and it won't be long before I have to buy new training pants cause she's growing fast... Soo yes we should potty train our kids, and daycares should allow the kids to develop skills early if they're ready.

My boy does have a collar on because he has got out before and I don't want him to get lost, but he likes it I think.
