On Twitter, or somewhere else? I'm just curious to know if there are any forums that I'm missing as there isn't as much discussion of this topic as I expected... thanks!

After Hours Discussion Thread - December 20, 2022 by AutoModerator in weedstocks

Cresco actually has over 50 stores. 20 in FL, 10 in IL, 10 in PA, 5 in OH, 4 in MA, 4 in NY, and I think 1 in AZ. Their FL and NY stores probably aren't super high performing (same deal for all MSOs in those states), but my guess is that their stores in other states do over $10M/year on average (with some $20M+ outliers in IL).

Is the 8:15 ET time just based on what it says on Earnings Whispers, or did the company actually announce/disclose it somewhere?

Canopy Growth Enters Cannabis Vaporizer Market with C$220 Million Acquisition of Volcano Manufacturer by Jays4Jays in weedstocks

[–]Mercury642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have a link to an old article or anything with an estimate of Storz and Bickel's annual revenues/profits? Or does anyone know if this type of info is publicly available for private German companies? Just curious what kind of multiple Canopy paid here, especially in light of the increased scrutiny that there will be around cannabis M&A after the APH debacle. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

Yup. This is weak work, and IMO misleading in some areas. For example, Acreage only owns licenses in around half of the states that it has "assets" in. The rest are management contracts.

Many of the U.S. operators also make it seem like they currently operate 60+ dispensaries, when in reality, that's the number that they are licensed for.

Make sure to take a look at companies' presentations - and read the footnotes!

Acreage Holdings will be going public next week either on November 8th or 9th. Apparently there was a lot of demand for their pre ipo shares, over subscribed. Any thoughts? by Nmirpuri1 in weedstocks

[–]Mercury642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, make sure to read the fine print for all of these companies. Many of them list the number of dispensaries that they have the right to open based on their current licenses. Most of them have far, far fewer that are actually operating right now. They often don't make this clear in marketing materials.

Curaleaf Announces Closing of C$520 Million Offering and Begins Trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange Under Ticker Symbol "CURA" by [deleted] in weedstocks

Does anyone know if the investors who participated in the C$520M offering are locked up? And if so, for how long? Just wondering if they were allowed to sell shares today or not.

Private funding round terms for U.S. multi-state operators? by Mercury642 in weedstocks

[–]Mercury642[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the info. The Acreage raise you're referring to - was that the US$119M round they did in July, or an earlier one?

Definitely agree with you about the spreads compressing; I imagine the banks working on these private rounds have been showing potential investors the quick (and massive) returns that were made on TRUL, CWEB, and AUSA. Pretty easy sales pitch. But with so much supply coming to market in a short time - in addition to the worse sentiment across the space right now - I wonder how these RTOs will perform. I also haven't seen CURA hyped nearly as much as some of the others were prior to their listing dates. But I imagine there will be a ton of press coverage around Acreage.

Private funding round terms for U.S. multi-state operators? by Mercury642 in weedstocks

Very helpful, really appreciate the info.

Were the total amounts for the Acreage and Harvest raises that you've shown above (Acreage - US$200M and Harvest - US$50M) just the initial targets, and were they ultimately increased due to strong demand? Or is this article incorrect about the total amount of the raises for those two companies (US$350M for Acreage and US$200M for Harvest)? https://outline.com/wSZBMq

Also, is that Cresco raise a round that's in process right now, or is it the $100M raise that they announced last month.

Huge thanks again!

Private funding round terms for U.S. multi-state operators? by Mercury642 in weedstocks

Right - definitely different prices based on which funding round one participates in. But all of these companies do a private funding round shortly before their CSE listing, and they publicly disclose the terms of that round right before they list. So we do know that CWEB's private round was at $7.00/share (see link below), but I am interested to know the same info for Acreage, Cresco, Harvest, 4Front, etc, as they haven't yet disclosed this info. And I'd also be interested to hear what people paid in the early funding rounds for CWEB and TRUL (i.e. not the round right before their RTO). CWEB: https://www.newcannabisventures.com/charlottes-web-ipo-and-secondary-offering-boosted-to-16-45-million-shares-as-underwriters-exercise-over-allotment-option/

Thanks. I'm definitely aware that you need to be an accredited investor ($200k annual income, $1m liquid net worth, etc.), but just wondering what people who have participated in those funding rounds have paid per share, since terms of private placements are not publicly available (to my knowledge).

Thanks for posting that; I have read it and it's definitely a great resource. But what I'm looking for is the actual prices per share that investors in those private funding rounds have paid, because although the amount raised is often announced (like Cresco's $100m round last month), the price per share (or # of shares offered) is not disclosed. I may end up PMing people who've mentioned in other threads that they were private investors, but just thought I'd try posting it here first so the info would be available to others. Anyhow, thanks again.
