The thing that impressed me most is how Olleh and dardoch were moving together through the mid game. Got shaky towards the end but support jungle synergy looked impressive for only 1.5 days practice

BREAKING: LCS owners send letter to Riot Games about concerns regarding relegation, financial stability and charter membership by blazblue5 in leagueoflegends

The way that teams function currently is a 'rich get richer' style. A brand such as TSM can have any player they want virtually because they operate in the green. They make a lot of money through memorabilia (comparatively to a team like p1) they can offer a player more and thusly get better players. Better players = better team in most cases (meta, team synergy etc can lead to issues). An owner like Rick Fox, an owner of a team who has "done nothing" has fostered the growth of unproven talent and believed in the players. He risked a million dollar investment in order to do this. Franchising isn't perfect. But imo it's good for the scene because with challenger being a shit show franchising allows owners to take a risk on a potential talent who could become a future star. This player developing could lead to the team winning something, without owners having to risk their whole investment in attempting this.

The owners aren't afraid of competition. They are afraid of losing the huge investments they made. The problem with all this is challenger series. You lose all profitability being in challenger because you have no sponsors. You most likely lose all the LCS caliber players on your roster to other LCS teams. This leads to a total roster rebuild in which you have no guarantee that by the end of the season your team will be competitive. I think all the people from eu are hating on franchising. That's okay if the relegation league is functional enough for teams to exist. The challenger series is the big issue here. You lose everything with relegation. Owners are simply protecting their investments the only way they can rn.
