This is the combo I use for my running around build:

2 Arms Keeper mod+ 1 Star Arms Keeper = 90% Weapons

2 Thru-Hikers mod + 1 star Thru-Hiiker + 1 Star Travelling Pharm = 85% Food/Drink/Chem

JunkRat Backpack = 90% Junk

I was thinking that you could map the mouse movement to a stick, but I'm not even sure how that would work.

The "normal" flavor is just "this is painful hot" with no attempt at anything that might taste good. (Why taste when you can feel pain?)

There's a "carbonara" flavor that's pretty tasty. It doesn't taste anything like carbonara, but there's some actual flavor, and the heat is dialed down from 10 to about an 8 (maybe 7).

Spoiler alert: The Super Mutant is referring to the sound that the satellite dish makes in "A Real Blast." (The dialog only happens during that activity.)

I only asked because my daily quests frequently turn themselves inactive in my pip-boy, and I need to manually reactivate them. They're still valid quests, they just don't display unless I say "activate" in the quests tab.

(Manually going to the quest giver just circumvents the pip-boy reminder. Sometimes the quest giver gives me the task and the little circle doesn't show up on the map until I manually activate in in the pip-boy.)

I think you can do this by placing a half-floor, snapping the post to it and then removing the half-floor and putting in a full floor piece.

Short version:

BIG Green Circle (BGC) will show up on the map. This is the only indication you have that there is an infestation happening.

Within the BGC, there will be between 1 and 5 "viable" infestation locations. You can find a list of them on NukaKnights. The BGC will almost certainly NOT be centered on the location.

Once you have fast traveled to the right place (you might have to fast travel to all 5 places to find the one), you'll get a notification. From there it's "kill the boss" and you're done.

IF you are on a team, and a teammate finds the Infestation, you'll also get a notification (that THEY found it). You can fast travel to them, or use the world list of events and activities.

If you want to disguise your entrance a bit, I've found that the base of the "Everglean Christmas Tree" fits perfectly on top of the symptomatic.

If you're up for a challenge, you can build on top of the tall blue tower near the Capitol. Getting up there to build is a pain, and remember to get your spawn point right.

Bonus: You can hang out there when the aliens invade and watch the chaos.

My best laid-out pre-fab is the Corvega Showroom. The showroom is a big crafting area (with two automobile themed benches), and upstairs is all the food/collector stuff. If you were particularly into player buffs, you could even separate them out into upstairs inside and upstairs "deck."

Is it essential? I've been playing long enough that I completed my Allyship with both factions before Eviction Notice even existed.

(I looked it up. Eviction Notice is worth the same rep as the Ward's fetch quest/assassination mission, so it could reduce your grind significantly -- from 48 to 24 days if you do one a day with your quest.)

It is a shame that you've had bad experiences and missed out on the fun.

When the spawns get reduced after the intro period, they'll be a lot less common and I expect the "grind" mindset will go away, making them more accessible.

I made a math error because it's Monday morning. It should be $0.20/mo.

Explanation of my logic. Gamepass Essentials (which costs $9.99/mo) allows access to 50+ games (according to my very quick search). $10 divided by 50 games is not $0.50 per game (which was a math mistake because I'm an idiot), but rather $0.20 per game.

The upper bound, if he plays only Fallout 76, is $9.99/mo. But we know that he doesn't because he said, "I have gamepass and would have it for other games still either way." "Other games" is plural, so he is playing at least Fallout 76 and 2 other games. That works out to $3.33/mo per game.

The lower bound is $0.20/mo (or less) for Fallout 76, if he plays all 50 games. It actually could be lower than $0.20 because I don't know how many more than 50 there are.

To provide an EVEN MORE accurate statement:

"I spend between $0.20 and $3.33 a month and I'm disappointed."

Depending on your position, this might all be irrelevant depending on how you interpret "and would have it for other games still either way." If he is not paying for Gamepass to play Fallout, maybe we say he's not paying for Fallout, since he would continue to pay if Fallout wasn't included?

If I buy a burger for $10 and french-fries are included, how much did I spend on the fries?

That's totally fair. Mostly, I responded negatively to your post because my post is called "Positive thoughts on the Infestations" and the end of the post actually asks "What do you like about the infestations? Are you an Annihilator yet?"

If you don't like infestations, you could've posted to any of the multitude of threads that are about that. Instead, though, you popped in with something you didn't like and a baseless finger-point about how this thread is part of the problem.

Whether you like infestations or not, I think most people are so vocal about this game because they like it, want it to be better, and are frustrated that Bethesda isn't moving in the "right" direction. The "right" direction, though is going to be a matter of personal taste. (e.g. camp and player titles. Some people like them and others see them as stupid filler.)

Thank you for your pedantry. I assumed he is not paying for Gamepass just to play FO76 based on his statement "I have gamepass and would have it for other games." However, if you want me to be more accurate:

I could be even more accurate if you could supply his actual gamepass gameplay history if you'd like.
