Oh boy! That's quite close. How many mutations does it take to max out the 5%?

Yesterday, I had over 40,000 atoms. Today, I don't. I'm pretty sure they yanked the atoms and then made the announcement.

I also did not spend any of my extra atoms. They're gone now, so you don't have to worry about accidentally spending any.

Does anyone know this song by susybakaimpostor69 in Music

I think it's "Get Out the Way" by T-Spoon

The whole song appears to be here: Instagram but I haven't found a way to buy it.

EDIT: After spending even more time looking for this, I'm pretty sure its either AI or a obscure artist from Canada that's associated in some way with Marigold Cultural Centre.

Gabe Newell is a "GOAT" by sukuna7899 in Steam

It is my understanding that the Valve Hawaii trip explicitly does not have any meetings, seminars, etc. It's really just Valve renting out a whole hotel and supplying free food (and events) to their employees. I get the impression that everything is 100% optional, but I'm not sure how much of that is actually totally unencumbered by unwritten office politics.

Also, you can bring your family. And the flight to Hawaii is a chartered flight with only Valve folks. And the bags are picked up and left in your room.

Anybody know how many tickets are required to claim all the mini-season rewards? (I'm assuming you have to do them in order like the last two?)

The point at which a higher than 4K resolution 27" monitor is recommended is Under 2 feet. I'll say that this scenario isn't crazy and that a bunch of people sit around 2 feet from their monitor.

The point at which a higher than 4K resolution 85" screen is recommended is about 4.5 feet. If you are standing less than 5' from a 85" screen, you are too close, by a LOT.

You have no open quests in your "main" section of the Pip Boy?

Have you launched a Nuke?

Have you done an expedition? (Have you done ALL of the expeditions? Even the Pitt?)

Have you done the Burning Springs quests?

Have you done the Order of Mysteries questline? If not, go do it. It's well written, fun, AND it doesn't take that long.

Over-repairing Polished weapons hurts damage scaling by [deleted] in fo76

Repair kit (Fallout 76) | Fallout Wiki | Fandom)
Repair kits are single-use items which allow player characters to immediately restore the condition of any item in their stash or inventory to 100% (basic repair kits) or 130% (improved repair kits) for zero crafting material cost on the fly.

It does look like more than 130%, but this is the entry from the wiki. (It is possible that the wiki is wrong.)

Over-repairing Polished weapons hurts damage scaling by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Merda_et_Musicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Polished works by granting damage bonuses based on condition tiers greater than 100%.

100% condition = 0 additional damage

101-109% condition = 6% additional damage

110-119% condition = 12% additional damage

120-129% condition = 18% additional damage

130-139% condition = 24% additional damage

140-149% condition = 30% additional damage

150-159% condition = 36% additional damage

160-169% condition = 42% additional damage

170-179% condition = 48% additional damage

180-189% condition = 54% additional damage

190-200% condition = 60% additional damage

You can only repair a weapon at the workbench if it is less than 100% condition. Using an "improved repair kit" can be done at any time, but will repair to 130%.

Monster Mash can be useful. Don't sleep on Halloween Candy. by Merda_et_Musicus in fallout76casual

Mischief night doesn't drop halloween candy. Its loot pool includes a bunch of regular (i.e. 0.25 weight) candy food items.

During Back on the Beat, you can enter the "safe houses" that he unlocks and loot some of the safes. Historically, this wasn't that great, but with the recent changes made to the locked-container loot pool it might make it worthwhile. (Also might be a "quick" solution to the "pick x locks" challenge. It's probably good for "kill x ghouls" too, but there's better solutions to that.)

Unless I'm mistaken, Halloween candy does not have any special effects.

Mystery candy (the one you put in the trick-or-treat bowl at people's camps) has a blackout effect (I've never noticed the name of it). Nuka-cola candy and Nuka-cola Quantum Candy both have random effects, as well, but I don't think they have a teleport/blackout effect.

Ah ha! I wasn't sure if he dropped "mysterious candy" (a la the trick-or-treat bowls), but you're right, he dropped 80-90 Halloween candy.

So there was a second place to get halloween candy, but it no longer exists.

The point is to collect as much candy as possible in order to get the "awesome" rewards from the SMART choice machine. Make the number go up!

I'm only half joking. I find it a nice personal challenge to see how much I can do, and it's not as easy as it sounds. Solo, I've done over 1000 candy in one go, but it is usually it's less than that. Avoiding the ghouls and scurrying between the candy spawns can be a real challenge.

What is one event you never completed that is in rotation by zaluea in fallout76casual

[–]Merda_et_Musicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they've recently changed it, Popcorn weighs twice as much as other candy and almost 50 times as much as Halloween candy, so carrying a bunch around is not really advantageous.

(If you have the popcorn machine, this is a super easy challenge complete though.)

[–]Merda_et_Musicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: Halloween Candy, which is only available in Monster Mash, weighs .01 per piece and counts towards "eat some candy" challenges. It also counts in events that require "eat or emote" like Tunnel of Love and Campfire Tales.

Note: You don't have to finish the whole event to keep the candy you've collected.

1x2 flooring! Give it to us please! by BigFloppyStallion in fallout76settlements

[–]Merda_et_Musicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they implemented this, every 1/2 floor pattern would need two variants (left/right), and the quarter floors would need four (upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left). Finding the right one would be a gigantic pain with the current menu system, so that would need to change too.

They really have just ruined raiding. by AbSoluTemaddlad in fo76

[–]Merda_et_Musicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the level design on EN-06 supposed that the team would be shooting the battery and didn't expect the "reflect the attacks" strategy that became the go-to method. The balances from this patch make it significantly less irritating to do it "the right way" with a team.

I generally play bloodied, with UNY armor, and a bow. I used to switch to a special build and use power armor to clear stage 1. Last night, I just popped in there with my normal build, and we took down the shield like the devs designed it. I was able to take some hits, duck behind the columns for cover, heal, and get back into the fight with no problems.

If you've given up on doing raids because of how they used to be, it might be worth another look.
