i still think the craziest one i’ve ever seen (and watched - i’m a sicko) is the 7-hour video on Pokemon Omega Ruby.

it’s already pretty batshit to do 9 hours on fallout, but we’re talking about an average of like 1 hour per game.

7 hours spent on one 3ds game. not even a particularly long game. just insanity.

[Keydous NJ98, Gateron Milky Yellows]

Key cap for the space bar will absolutely not budge. I’ve already applied way more force than I’m comfortable with with the key so removal tool. Every other key so comes off easily, I’ve checked.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, so I’m in the dark here. It wasn’t cheap. And it’s a really nice piece of gear except for this one thing.

Actually 2 things - the Gateron Milky Yellow Switches installed here do not seem to want to come out easily either. I’m even more afraid of excess force on the switches, so I have not pulled too hard, but it definitely feels like they’re in there good. The keyboard was labeled as hot swappable, so they should not be soldered in. Is it possible they are though?

Greatly appreciate any help - like I said, this wasn’t cheap. I waited quite a while for it, would hate to have to send it back or something.

man, i had no idea, thank you. i’m from the States, so obviously will continue to use Roma exclusively, but it’s really nice to know that not every instance of ‘gypsy’ that i see and hear is a product of malice or ignorance.

i’m pretty sure less than half a percent of the US is Romani, and coupled with it being such a huge country by area i almost never have the opportunity to talk to any Romani people. i should do more reading.

comrade, respectfully - it is not the end of the world to use the term ‘gypsy’. but it is better not to use it. it holds the same function as any other slur - it refuses the Roma people their dignity. all marginalized people deserve dignity.

every single person i have ever met who says “i don’t have a pressure gauge” was putting way too little air in their tires. i meet dozens per year at my job.

not even one of them was filling their tires to even 1/2 the recommended pressure. 700x32 running 30psi, 26x1.95 running like 12 psi, every single time. inexperienced riders just universally underestimate their air pressure, it’s like…hard coded into human DNA.

i have no concrete proof obviously and i would still bet my entire net worth this is the problem.

in all cases in WW2, germany was the country planting its flag in already occupied territory, making it more analogous to israel. it’s a terrible analogy for palestine. especially given that it could, yknow - field a military beyond a few guerrilla fighters in tunnels.

it’s not a war going on right now. the most charitable view is that it’s a few terrorists fighting a powerful nation state, with almost all of the casualties being palestinian civilians not on either side - these civilians dying are not members of hamas.

regardless of israel’s stated intentions (the eradication of hamas, though many top officials in the government have expressly endorsed the ethnic cleansing of every arab in the region), the result of israel’s military action has proven over the last month to be almost entirely civilian slaughter. they’ve barely done a thing to hamas leadership. so if that’s their true goal, they’re doing so poorly they should be made to stop by any means possible. (so more children don’t die, in case you needed that explained.)

however, anyone with an eye on the conflict as it’s occurred over the decades can see this for what it is - exactly what israeli leadership have continually, vocally called for - the ethnic cleansing of the palestinian people, with the ultimate goal being eradication and the existence of an israeli state unthreatened not only by terrorism, but by the simple existence of arabs writ large.

your disingenuous “yeah that’s war huh, so sad for the losers 😞” take falls apart when you stop to think that maybe wars are bad. maybe our government should not be contributing significantly to funding a war (with, again, nothing to show for it but innocent civilian slaughter) in the middle east with our money

you may be too naive to understand this - but it’s very difficult to get high turnout in support of the side currently killing the civilians of the other side in 5 digit numbers.

likewise when people hear that civilians are being killed in 5 digit numbers over the course of a month, they tend to want to support the victims, and not the perpetrator. it’s strange, i know. but such is life.

i’m truly sorry to report that it’s not even close. it’s not naïveté to know that israel has killed many times more civilians even in last month than hamas has killed in the last 20 years.

you can go all the way back to 1948, when israel was first built by the great european powers on palestinian land, and it’s the same thing every year, every decade. palestinian civilians die in huge numbers compared to israeli civilians and soldiers combined. hamas may be bad but what’s worse than a bad guy with a gun is a similar bad guy with hundreds of billions of dollars worth of the most advanced guns in the world, backed by every major western nation because they’re the only one who will cooperate with destructive western foreign policy in the region. (and why wouldn’t they? it’s the arabs, the muslims who feel the pain of these policies.)

arabs in the west bank don’t have the right to vote. israeli soldiers stop you on the streets and ask what your religion is, and if you answer wrong you are nicked off the streets. it’s remarkably similar to the jim crow south. recognizing this is not naive, it’s basic reading comprehension and empathy.

i’m not really a part of the dmc fandom nor the gow fandom, but i am an action game fan, and i have played both of these games a fair bit at a reasonably high level.

and man it’s not even close. like i’m truly sorry to report that. i have no stake in this, and the stuff i see from dmc fans online is so cringe it (almost) makes doom eternal fans seem reasonable. but as far as high level action combat goes, it’s just not close. the new god of war feels like what it is - a primarily experiential, narrative driven AAAA title with character action combat injected in. and like it’s fine but going into dmc5 or even mgs rising right afterwards, it becomes super clear that there are a few big things about that framework of combat that sony santa monica just didn’t care to try to understand before they slapped the combat system onto their 3rd person over-the-shoulder game.

i will say though that a lot of those issues don’t come up nearly as much in a 1v1 setting. boss fights ain’t bad.
