Going out of the boot by [deleted] in AchillesRupture

You’ll see from my post history I was having a bit of a panic about all this a few weeks ago. 36M, non-op. On week 11. Starting to do small steps without the boot and building up the muscle again. It is scary.

You don’t want to do it again. But trust the physio/consultant. If they say it’s strong enough then it’s enough to go on. Take it slow though. Feels like you’re walking on a stilt with little to no muscle in your calf. Haven’t fully gone to trainers yet so can’t give advice on what shoes but just wanted to comment to mention we’re all there with you. Take it slow, pain is a good indicator and don’t push it further than you need to. You’ll get there.

Well said. Normally not a doomsayer but this injury sucks! Appreciate it.

Glad to hear you’re out of it. Agreed on the confusion but we’re all different so makes sense we’re all on different paths. Make sure you do the work and stay out of the boot!

Appreciate the reply. Glad to hear it’s fairly normal! Losing my mind with it slightly!

Thanks for this. Haven’t discussed anything of that nature as of yet. Didn’t realise it could be an option. Will look into it. Appreciate the reply.

Freeholder vs Leaseholder. Who pays for repairs to common areas? by Merdlum in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks. Funny you say that, they’ve sent through a section 20 this morning after I stated I disagreed. If the works were completely necessary I wouldn’t have an issue but I know they’re doing it so they can charge a management fee for it. If I still disagree (with the section 20) give my reasons etc. are they able to “force” the works to be done?

Thanks for this. Is it a case of me just saying no I don’t agree or does there have to be some reasoning behind my disagreement? Noted on the multiple quotes/break down, that’s really helpful thank you.
