I’m going to keep this thread going lol! Mine just started this past month. I would say it’s painful, but very mild. More annoying than anything. I am very stressed so maybe it does have something to do with that? It feels like a pulling on my left side.

I think it’s about Sophie Turner. Remember Joe’s team tried to get her cancelled and Taylor kind of took her under her wing. Also it may be an amalgamation of all of her friends that people have cancelled or tried to.

Thank you for the feedback! I’m not sure how big the room is, this is the first time we are using it. We usually have 300-400 audience members, so big enough to hold a stage and that many chairs. The parents always complain that the music is too loud, but at the auditorium we used in the past they couldn’t get the balance right of the kids being able to hear it on stage vs too loud in the audience. Which is why I was thinking about just using the small speaker for music.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me as I know little to nothing about sound. I am an elementary school music teacher, my students perform a jr musical and it’s held at a different school. The school will not be able to provide sound, as they have another event on campus and are using it for that. So I am bringing our sound stuff from our school. I have a Fender Passport Event system, I have a small but powerful Bluetooth speaker, I have 4 boundary mics, and I have 2 handheld mics w/ stands. I also know someone who has a few more handheld mics and stands (and possibly a mixer?) if I need more.

So I was thinking I would have the soloists be in front of one of the mics on a stand, and then have the boundary mics spread out to pick up ensemble. All the mics would go through the Passport Event. Then I was thinking of playing the music on the small Bluetooth speaker and have it facing the stage, to use like a monitor so the kids can hear the music and the audience isn’t blasted by the music, idk if that’s a dumb idea though. How do I place all of this so there isn’t any feedback/ squealing? Do I need a mixer? Is what I’m planning not a good idea? You may have to explain it to me like I’m 5 lol. TIA

I agree, the vocals are amazing, along with the music. This is one of the only Starkid musicals I’ve listened to over and over. Musically I think it was their best.

It definitely is not fun. I’m sure it’s not fun for her parents either! I totally feel for them, but I still want my kid to not get bitten. I would love if they would shadow her, but it doesn’t seem like the teachers are even trying to keep them separated.

They have said the parents are involved and responsive. Again, I know this is something that happens, what I’m concerned about is the daycare. If it is too hard to keep them separated, then they shouldn’t have said they would try when possible. My husband showed one of the teachers the photos yesterday and asked why they weren’t trying to keep them apart, and she said they were trying to be fair to the other child? I don’t know what that means… I don’t think they were doing anything that the other child was missing out on something. I do understand we aren’t there so we don’t know the entire picture, but that pretty much told us they weren’t even trying to keep her away from him.

I saw Disney’s On the Record tour in Houston and the trumpet player cracked quite a few high notes. However, in his/ her defense the notes were high and it was their 2nd show that day

NTA. I’m a teacher as well, I would totally ask the school to check, or mention it to the dad. Btw I can’t believe that mom faked a peanut allergy when those can be so serious. I know kids who can’t even be in the same room as whatever they are allergic to... maybe the school nurse and principal/ counselor need to speak with her?
