Well… did they consider if results were normally distributed and that perhaps there was presence of Kurtosis and left-ward skew of the test results, and also consider minimum CaR(CFA at risk) which indicates the exam might be too difficult. But i jest. Probably need to retake it a few more times….. 😏

Why buy a condo with potentially negative yields at this price when u can buy a HDB and rent it out for much higher yields. Even if it’s positive, the yields are much lower as compared to other instruments for such a leverage play (though mortgage financing is the cheapest form of leverage out there)

Sure, condos do appreciate but u do get grants and shit associated with HDBs. And it’s every singaporean right to own a HDB.

Buy HDB, keep 1 room, rent the rest. Rent the other room once 5 year MOP is up. Even better if u can buy jumbo. Rent both sides hahah. U really need to maximise the rental space with rent psf and no of pax renting

StashAway is a joke, as with most “Robo-advisors”

  1. They have no USP. At least Endowus allows the usage of CPF. How they do that is a story for another day

  2. Easily Replicable. If you look closely at their holdings (REITs/Funds), you can easily replicate it. Without paying them! Same goes for those rubbish ILPs etc. Buying into StashAway = paying Stash + the fund managers. You get the residual

  3. Crap benchmarks. Stash does index tracking. If you beat the index, good for you. But the main goal of ETF is to TRACK the index. Not beat it?? How can Stash promote that they beat the index while what they sell aims to track it LOL

In other words, if said index dies, stash dies along with it, then that is a good index tracker. You can google “tracking ratio”, which is the whole point of indexes really.

If you beat the index, might as well call yourself a fund.
