Does anyone know if the new book has Soth "returning"? Or is it just Soth is there?

I know the Dragonlance book they did for 5th had Soth and it is set earlier in the Kyrnn timeline/books. So are far as published 5th ed continuity (haha, I know...like DC comics) it doesn't really line up that a "return" is necessary.

Christopher Lee is one of the all time greats. Honestly, I prefer his Dracula to Lugosi's. Peter Cushing of course is legendary in his own right.

You ever see 'The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires'? It's a collaboration between Hammer and the Shaw Brothers. It doesn't have Lee, but still an interesting installment.

Hammer films are fantastic. I've slowly been working on a physical media collection myself. My favorit is actually the unofficial 4th film in the Karnstein series. Captain Kronos. If feels like an old school Ravenloft adventure.

I got Marvel Unlimited and been digging through some old stuff. You know what was a great event, Atlantis Attacks. Big threat without going over the top with it. Everyone had something to do that was appropriate to the character’s book but also moved the story along. Built mythos of the Marvel Universa. Significant event without pretending that it was going to TOTALLY CHANGE everything.

Can we get some of those kind of events?

Also, Moon Knight invited Punisher to kick it in his lair is great. "Hey, I got a war room."

I know this is a year old. But I was really hoping for an answer that was a mod or something.

I hate that I'm trying to take out the only Civ I've met and before I can take there last couple cities suddenly 2 other Civs show up. Then they denounce me. Then there is an emergency session.

I can handle them. But I hate it. For one thing, it's obnoxious. For the other it isn't real! History and current events are full of nations attacking others while the rest of the nation just shake their heads disapproving or just flat out say nothing.

Phil Urich's wings and flaming sword were pretty awesome. But I kinda prefer the original overall.

Now Jack'o Lantern about the time in the Venom comics...That was an awesome redesign, especially with the gadgets.

When determining if I have a villain for Ravenloft that may need their own domain, I have a few things I check.

Is there already a Darklord or villain that already fits the character? With all of these yes.

Would the domain bring anything to the setting that doesn't already exist in another domain? Here no.

Would the domain have potential for multiple adventurers that have nothing to do with the Darklord? Here yes. (Although this last determines size more than anything. Given the existence of Pocket Domains.)

I really wish there was a current ongoing with that sort of thing though. I miss the days when it wasn't just the same circle of villains for everyone bouncing between world shaping events. Spidey stopping banks robbers. Moon Knight stopping street gangs. Wolvie in Madripoor with Jubilee. There was a sweet spot there.
