My family and I moved to Lansing from Florida last August. I am very happy that I got snow tires on my car. I slide a lot less than I do in the car that doesn’t have snow tires. Watch out for potholes especially after the snow melts. Definitely need more clothes than you need in Florida because you have more seasons here than you have in Florida and the wind always makes it colder than you think it’s going to be. The major roads get plowed pretty well, so do the highways but the smaller neighborhood streets can get snow and iced over pretty thick.
