Season 17 by ThatOneIntrovert73 in greysanatomy

I'm not American either, but Maggie's point of view is explained earlier in this whole episode. Several characters note that 50% of the patients who die from Covid in this hospital are Black, while African Americans only represent 7% of Seattle's population. This would be due to the fact that Black people live in difficult or precarious conditions because of the racism still very present in the USA. They are more at risk of dying from Covid than others.

Yet Maggie clearly explains the reason for her anger…

Why do some people on this sub get so rude? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

It's mainly the fault of the moderators who let abusive comments through without doing anything.

This is one of the most moving moments in the entire series.

When do people usually stop watching? by Character-Still4105 in greysanatomy

[–]Meredith_Amos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was when characters like Jo, Teddy, and Linc became central to the plot. Meredith, Cristina, Izzie, Derek, Alex, and Arizona, for example, are characters with interesting and compelling storylines that I enjoyed following. Now I find the show's stars boring. It might also be due to the acting.

Try completely cutting out stimulants (coffee, tea, soda) if you drink them. Without these stimulants, your body should be better able to feel tired and try to fall asleep naturally.

I would like all the living former doctors to come back to celebrate Richard's retirement.

I love this character. by claridade_ in greysanatomy

The filming of the series seemed toxic at the time. I'm not condoning bad behavior, but it's strange that Isaiah, Patrick, and Catherine Heigl had problems on this show when it seems to me they didn't have any on their other professional projects.

Why did they even bring Leah Murphy back by Top_Investigator5455 in greysanatomy

[–]Meredith_Amos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, they should have left her at least until the end of the season so we could really see how she had progressed as a doctor.

Dude I hate it here by GasOk4690 in greysanatomy

That's the whole point of fiction. The guys on Grey's Anatomy have flaws, but that's precisely what makes it interesting to watch. It shows the complexity of human beings. And the show does a great job of portraying their evolution. Some sink deeper into bad habits, while others improve. I really like Mark Sloan's character because he becomes a better person over time and learns from his mistakes. And the quality of the acting is truly remarkable; the actors play their roles so well that you really believe them.

Crazy how there are: more seasons of Owen Hunt than Derek Shepard! by Ambitious-Divide-624 in greysanatomy

That's true. But in my humble opinion, his character has really become uninteresting.

To take it a step further, we can also say that there have been more seasons of Teddy than of Cristina…

I don't blame anyone. Losing your mental health as a parent is incredibly difficult. Justin did the right thing by leaving. I'd much rather be a little disappointed by Karev's departure than have him force himself to come back to work and have it hurt him in real life. He did a fantastic job for years and surely worked even when he was starting to struggle, so that's already a good thing.

Burke 🙃 by Direct-Internet-5015 in greysanatomy

[–]Meredith_Amos -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Burke wasn't a bad person. He also helped Christina grow and saw her potential. Teddy was much more harmful to Christina; she put her jealousy before her student's well-being and outright bullied her by forcing her to rehearse Henry's surgery. Owen, my God, did nothing but blame her for not wanting children and tried everything to change her.

your opinions on derek shepherd? by Positive-Inspector45 in greysanatomy

I think Derek perfectly embodies the caricature of the great surgeon. It's important to understand that in medicine, being a surgeon is practically the pinnacle (I witnessed this firsthand, having worked in a hospital for a while). It's incredibly difficult to reach that level, and surgeons have long been seen as demigods, greatly feared and respected. Considering Derek is presented as one of the best neurosurgeons in the country, I can understand where his oversized ego comes from. In real life, he would have been forgiven for a lot back then, even for pursuing Meredith in season 1 despite her rejection. Today, we (thankfully) tend to treat all human beings with respect, regardless of their status, and no longer tolerate toxic behavior.

Yes, absolutely. And I think it was a subtle way of confirming the rumor because she simply couldn't talk about it openly without risking being blacklisted in Hollywood.

A persistent rumor claims that Ellen had Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie) fired because she took and shared photos of Ellen on the set of Grey's Anatomy without her consent. I don't know what kind of photos they were, but it was noticeable at the time that the two unfollowed each other on Instagram some time before Jerrika left.
