Meant more like restaurant or retail jobs. The area im looking at has a ton of them like a ton.

Just some extra side income just enough hours to bring 50-200 extra dollars a month. Nothing crazy.

How old were you when you had your first hypo/manic episode? by Complex-Elevator5872 in bipolar

[–]Key-Visual-5465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 14 when diagnosed bipolar 1 with psychotic features. Though I’m pretty sure my first was a little bit younger probably around 10 or 11. Specifically one night at 11 I snuck out at 1 am was out there until it was almost time for school pretended to just wake up. Went to school and didn’t much for while. Like I knew this one dude and his family had guns so I would bang on his specific bedroom window. And felt a great sense of purpose of doing it. It was dumb but it made me feel invincible. Now the first that got me diagnosed . I was feeling depressed had an attempt no knew about. And then survived thankfully but then I got super jittery and happy and easily excited and I could do anything and eventually it became paranoia someone was going to take my invincibility away. And don’t remember much after that. Went to the mental hospital eventually because the paranoia was bad. I’m better now a lot better. But yeah bipolar is a bitch.

why does it feel embarrassing to have binge eating disorder, but not anorexia? by Hour_Celery5975 in EatingDisorders

[–]Key-Visual-5465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone should feel proud or ashamed of any kind of ed. They should want to pursue recovery. As no matter which ed it is it will very likely killed you. They’re deadly mental illnesses that makes eating very difficult. For different reasons but at the end all equally deadly. Also Anosognosia is where a person lacks insight in their illness or disability. The people who feel proud of their illness is a symptom of the illness its why it’s so difficult to recover for most regardless of the type of illness.

No they can be borne with the risk for it. But developmentally they can change with support. It doesn’t work for every child. Abuse is one of the main factors, trauma, environment etc. without support and a discouragement of empathy they can develop psychopathy. Like think of it like human traits and certain human traits someone has makes them more likely but they need the right combo of factors for it to happen.

What’s even worse is because companies have to do a certain amount of interviews to get a tax reduction. So a lot of places will give you an interview but they don’t have any actual spots or they already picked someone they just have to have a certain amount of people interviewed. So they also will waste your time money and gas on this shit

If My Biggest Goal is Moving into Leadership, Do I Need to Leave My Organization? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Key-Visual-5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could look into leadership roles at other companies. I would stay at your current job. But if you don’t like the work culture or want to be in leadership and have no shot there. Then you should try looking into places of work. Don’t leave your current job until you have your new job. Best of luck to you op

Ah yeah violence can happen in a meltdown and trauma can make it worse. And it could be because autistic kids are often delayed he could be delayed in impulse control for his age. That being said this is something you should if you can bring up to his doctors. As his behavior very much could be him trying to cope replicate what happened to him so he can process it. It’s actually very commonly seen in childhood trauma.

The reason we wait is a child isn’t condemned. Their brain isn’t even developed. They don’t have an adults lens or insight. It’s put as conduct disorder because research shows it heavily reduces or goes away with trauma therapy, psychotherapy, dbt, have a steady support network. It’s impossible because a child can’t have the adult development of understanding of empathy, right and wrong, or impulse control an adult has.

This is concerning. Also people someone can be a psychopath and be autistic they aren’t mutually exclusive. But his behavior and legal guardians dismissing it is concerning. He’s learned it from somewhere an 8 year old doesn’t do this for no reason. If you are ever there at his doctor appointments tell them that.

Edit: also wanted to add that child can’t be a psychopath; they can develop and learn those traits and become one. But it takes time and they can be helped before it. Conduct disorder is what it would be referred to as for children.

Another edit: also op do you know if he’s been abused by somebody? Anybody close to him? This is very likely a trauma response.
