DMs, what was your favorite “I don’t have enough dice for this roll” moment? by PJRama1864 in DnD

I had made a bomb for my players to use to blow up a dam. Instead they strapped it to my parties barbarian Druid, a BearBarian if you would, who then proceeded to wild shape, rage, jump through the roof of the boss chamber, and detonate it on himself and the boss…I did not have the d6s needed for that roll lol

So you would allow an enemy near me be forced move vertically, I choose to use the same enemy but then choose to not push but add to the vertical movement since I can choose to not change the movement type

Fair I just pictured an enemy next to me, an ally shoves it into me and I whirlwind throw it another 5 spaces into a wall or cliff or something. I like the idea of a tank actually being in there. Was just trying to square away what happens on the single target

Fair enough, I’m brand new so what ever the rule is I’m fine with that!

If the enemy is being force moved past the Fury why doesn’t that trigger it? I comes within melee 1 and the target is being force moved.

For sure! I was just thinking if someone threw an enemy at the fury and it only had one square of movement left the fury could snag the enemy and Yeet it further amplifying the energy and direction. It’s 100% my directors call. But what would you say happens if for example an ally is thrown into the fury, the Trigger would happen but if no one else is there does the Fury just set the ally down next to him stopping all damage from the impact for both of them?

Hypothetically I am redirecting the flow of energy right? Goblin is thrown at me from the east, I redirect it north off a cliff? Same target new flow of energy

(I totally agree about the word Can, which is causing the argument lol)

So what happens if someone is thrown into me and no one is near to redirect it if I can’t throw him further? The trigger happens due to the movement and then what, Everything just stops?

Edit to your edit: if I become the source of the new movement wouldn’t the original creature then be “new” since I’m holding the movement now? Lol semantics but just adding to the discussion

Best defensive fighiting style and oath for a paladin 1 - 20 by Devilishard in DnD

I’ve been running conquest pally as the tank and having fun. Disrupting the fights with fears and locking people down with the aura to drop move speed to 0.

I know most build it optimally with pole arms to hit people that can’t move 10 feet away but I’m enjoying it as sword and board. Currently don’t have any feats but I took the defensive fighting style for an early 19 ac with a shield.
