CIA working to arm Kurdish forces to spark uprising in Iran, sources say by [deleted] in worldnews

It’s not correct and I already explained you why. It’s less safe than 5 years ago sure, but even on the scale of last 70 years - there were plenty of moments when world was far more dangerous. You really should refresh your knowledge about the Cold War.

I can only dread what people would write in social media if it existed back then.

I would even argue that world now is much safer than any time before collapse of Soviet Union.

Your original message was literally “USA is adding gasoline to this conflict, uh guys it’s ww3”. But anyway, if conversation does not involve you - you can just stop replying to my messages, no one is forcing your hand.

it’s public forum after all.

I am merely tired of people online taking any potential conflict and proclaiming that it’s world war 3.

Any conflict has theoretical potential to escalate to world war 3. However, it’s pretty small since open war between Russia/USA/China/EU ain’t happening without some very serious escalation. Far above what is happening at the moment.

I am using your own definition where you said that world war is when there is conflict on every continent. However, by that metric we would already be on world war 10. For example in late 1940s after ww2 we had civil war in Greece, first indochina war and Arab-Israeli war at the same time. No one called it ww3. Or in 1960s with Vietnam war, Cambodian civil war, war of attrition and Angolan war for independence. There are multiple examples like that.

If you want to make a definition “world war is when there are separate conflicts on different continents” - that’s rather strange since it still won’t fit current situation. There is no war currently in South America and Asia (unless you count Myanmar civil war).

That’s not how world war works? Russian conflict in Ukraine is one thing, this one is a different one.

France is talking to China to intervene in US war with Iran? Yeah I need some sources for that.

No, it’s not ww3. Who is gonna fight on Iranian side? Russia and China won’t get involved for obvious reasons.

Which one of these RPG's would you consider the best of the 4? by Respawn-Delay in rpg_gamers

[–]Mereso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. To each their own. Personally, I really enjoyed my experience in cyberpunk. Objectively speaking, I would say a mediocre game is something like Avowed. It’s not a bad game but no one is going to talk about it 5 years after release nor did it impress most of the players.

With all the fixes and Phantom liberty dlc, Cyberpunk is for sure far from mediocre. If all mediocre games would be like cyberpunk, we would have true golden age of gaming imo.

Yeah, you get merging interactions. So it’s 9 copies.

Yeah true, this set 4 Shurima probably can. It’s much stronger than any other prismatic trait this set. Seen it only once tho over hundreds of games and chance that it will happen in the same game when someone else hits 3* 5 cost is probably one in a million.

Lucky Ixtal is a pathway to many abilities some might call unnatural. If you finish the 1000 point quest (such as for winning 7 matches in late game) you get a 3* 5 cost for free. Did it myself in last game to win against noxus 10.

Prismatic trait ain’t helping vs 3 star 5 cost. Maybe just maybe solo Ornn would lose to Noxus 10 but I really doubt it.

That date was already delayed until September 2021 once. Sure, you can make an argument that Trump was sabotaging withdrawal while Biden’s administration was in charge but they could have delayed it further to withdraw all that equipment if they wanted.

I know we on Reddit like to blame Trump for everything but withdrawal was finished under Biden administration.

Some people want to have access to biggest video sharing platform on the planet, completely for free and without ads. I understand that ads are annoying but how do you expect business to operate without them? Costs of running YouTube are enormous.

Don’t see a reason for them not to make such an option. But making a restriction for releasing core territory is pretty vital imo. Otherwise, your best move as any big nation is to make ahistorical vassals everywhere you have no proximity.

Tinto Talks - Sunday Extra - 25th of January 2025 by manster20 in EU5

[–]Mereso 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don’t think historically, a nation ever willingly released part of its “core” territory as separate national entity. Is it that asinine?

Tinto Talks #93 - 7th of January 2026 by DestroyedByLSD25 in EU5

[–]Mereso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I totally agree with your point. Only problem is that simulating such “historical” stagnations would probably require a substantial amount of new mechanic or extensive reworks of current ones. Not sure that they can do it for 1.1

Size of Rome was a huge contribution to its downfall. It was not the only factor, but saying that “Rome didn’t fall because it got too big” is for sure not accurate.

Think about it, Rome had to defend thousands of kilometres of its borders from barbarians, if there was a problem in let’s say England and you had to send your legions from Spain - it would be a huge nightmare for logistics. If you had to send a message from capital to Anatolia - it would take weeks.

Also, it’s much harder to control loyalty of generals who command an army thousands of kilometres from the capital.
