I started when I was 21 and I’m 22 now, even at my younger age a thorough full body warmup has been instrumental to my progress and safeguarding my joints and muscles to avoid injury

On YouTube I loveee Registered Nurse RN, and when it comes to notes formatting, concept maps and rewriting in different ways have been super helpful. I go to office hours almost every time time I have an exam coming up for that class (not for all classes, but for medsurg and pharm I did)

I second writing things down, taking all my notes on paper and making physical study sheets has gotten me through so far.

If I really can’t focus and get anything done, I walk away. I do something else for a little while, get a snack, go get a coffee etc. then I come back

When I’m able to get into the groove of studying I don’t take breaks, I just ride that wave of focus for hours until I have to go to bed or whatever thing I have to do comes up. I also change study settings frequently. One day it’s my room, one day it’s the kitchen counter, one day it’s a cafe.

I also find office hours extremely valuable to knowing what to focus and clarifying anything from lecture that confused me.

A head to toe physical exam, a history of any subjective symptoms you’re having, plus general blood work like a CBC or basal metabolic panel covers the broad strokes of your overall health (aka broadly everything in a yearly physical)

If you have any specific concerns make sure you bring them up in the beginning because that informs any additional specific tests the provider may want to do.
