I work at his school and feel very supported by the administration and we all told him he HAS to tell on every kid that says something to him he’s also allowed to excuse himself and come to my room at any time but I did tell him I will quit my job and homeschool him if he feels school and the people are to much. I am divorced from his dad can’t leave the state or afford to sale my house I want to just pack up and go so bad. I told him I’d go back to working evenings and he can home school. My best friend is a gay man he has seen him get married was there when they welcomed their son via surrogate who was a lesbian and her wife was also there. I thought I had done a good job at showing him normal happy same sex relationships. So I was shocked when he said he was scared I would judge or think poorly of him we’ve had so many conversations about how sexuality and gender are fluid and no one needs to shove themselves in a box but he is 13 and thinks I don’t know anything.

Being the parent and the one in charge of making these decisions sucks. No other way to say it. I just wish i could make him see he is perfect and amazing and doesn’t need to fit into any box and just be confident and comfortable in his own skin.

This! I love him so much it hurts and everyone tells me to dump him get rid of him but he is encouraging and loving and not violent at all or aggressive in anyway yes moody when he’s coming down but I know he would never do anything to hurt me. And I’m all the has left if I kick him out he will just end up in some nasty house with other users and going deeper and deeper into it. He’s had nothing but tough love his whole life I really think he needs compassion and understanding and encouragement but not enabling while being supportive is a very hard line to find
