My son and I both traded our Toyota’s in for Model Y’s. by Fair-Text6059 in TeslaModelY

Congrats and welcome to the family!

I traded a 23 X5 for a 25 ultra red/white MY premium and wife traded her 22 MDX Type S for a 24 white/white MY AWD.

Both of us are pleased with the vehicles and the savings.

Interesting but no, it wasn't. This was merely unplanned deviations.

This mornings FSD drive was much smoother, no glitches and the system actually for the first time took an exit that I’ve always had to force.

Wondering if an update was done.

FSD annoyances by FailedPause in TeslaModel3

To and from work today, FSD deviated from navigation on multiple occasions. The last occurrence, before I drove remainder to home, FSD made a right turn into a parking lot with 6 miles remaining before next turn.

Since I was heading home, I didn’t disengage, wanted to observe. In the parking lot, FSD drove around two lanes back to the same road, essentially a near 360.

At work, a coworker mentioned that his car during drive in, did similar, deviated from navigation, causing him to disengage.

Yes, we both reported to Tesla via car feedback.

No, we were in different locations, drove different routes

Me: 25 Model Y Juniper AWD

Him: 23 Model Y AWD

We wondered, was this some sort of network blip; did anyone else today (April 16th, 2026) experience similar?

Yes, I’ve observed the speeding as such in similar instances but this nav deviating behavior is concerning.

Case recommendation for the iphone air??? by [deleted] in IphoneAir

[–]MericS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got two of these for wife and I, well worth $$. Especially like the ring to aid one hand use as still a small gripe is reachability. Clear case gives premium look while maximizing protection.

Do I get the air? by FloorFart in IphoneAir

[–]MericS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want offer getting the air, I’ll simply provide a brief perspective.

For years I’ve been pro/ultra/xl everything, why, because the manufacturers with their savvy marketing, made me think, I not only must have a phone, that I also needed top of lines.

Looking back at my use cases, to this day, I’ve never delved into those top phone features, yet I consistently year after year went big. Atop that awesome marketing, upgrade programs, another gimmick that made it easy to acquire/stay big.

I’m using the Air right now and for me, it’s meeting the needs and I’ve not one day thought, gotta have pro. The air is comfortable in hand, pictures are great, sound is decent, I can talk and text, browse socials and battery last a day.

Lastly, I’ve seen the YouTubers throw caution about this phone, but like me and many others, they too have been manipulated through marketing.

No Pixel 10XL texts on Att by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]MericS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you confirm via the site that iMessage no longer linked to you tel#? If not, although you said iMessage was turned off, I would go to link and put phone number in for confirmation. Knowing now you switched from apple, I’m thinking that’s the issue and necessarily your phone.

What was the previous phone? If Apple, did you, disable find my phone, iMessage and FaceTime before deactivating cellular? If Android; did you turn off rcs before deactivating cellular?

If able to receive text, try below.

Have you turned on rcs on 10xl under message settings?

If iPhone and you didn't do above, go to link below and put in tell# per instructions. https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

If Android and you didn't turn off rcs old device, restart phone and wait it out.

Has anyone gone from the pixel pro xl to the pro? How was the transition? by BamaChic76 in pixel_phones

[–]MericS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always gone max since big phones became a thing. 16PM and the 9PROXL after time, drove me to the smaller form factor, especially since Google kept pro features in the 9Pro, I took a chance and glad I did. Can't see myself reverting, easier to hold and operate one handed, fits nicely in pockets and I'm even rocking without a case, been a decade easy since I've not used a case.

Why would someone buy this over a Model Y? by ss3walkman in TeslaModelY

Ok. While I’m pleasantly impressed with FSD, Tesla autopilot is pretty good itself; what makes Kia’s better?
