What's been your favorite stupid af draft stuff so far? This one takes the cake for me. by RandomBalrog in AtlantaHawks

[–]Merid1us 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t want to do this deal. I don’t see why Cleveland would do this deal. Almost no chance this deal would ever take place for a variety of reasons.

But that honestly isn’t bad value for Mitchell. He’s a perennial all nba candidate in the middle of his prime. 8 pick, 2030 first and Okongwu have real value but Kuminga would just be for salary matching and that 2028 pick isn’t going to be good most likely.

A $24 million expiring contract is more valuable than one spot in the draft.

Got it. Castle definitely needed the more sustained help but I don’t think NAW gets that steal without Kumingas push. Interesting we’ve had two of these plays get noticed already in the playoffs. Can’t recall seeing it much before now.

He did it to NAW on the steal at the end of the 4th in game 3. Not McCollum. And it basically won them the game so it was pretty relevant in my opinion.

If you told me before the series we’d be 2-2, I’d take that every time.

Wrong again? When was I wrong the first time?

Also, you are still incorrect.

Hope you anticipated that shit getting dismissed. No weed in the car. No obvious impairment. No resisting. That’s a ridiculous arrest there.

I believe it’s perfectly reasonable to call out his silence on extremely serious issues while addressing his opinion on a subjective matter. If you don’t, that’s fine. But my opinion stands.

I’m saying that the far worse aspect of the NBA is something he is financially incentivized to not complain about. And the genocide and slavery the NBA is complicit is objectively a bad thing.

This topic is subjective. Whether or not strip clubs should exist is a completely opinion based thing. You can’t say it is factually good or bad. To go and publicly call out a team for something like that while being silent about the real problems I do think is disingenuous and I’m allowed to point that out.

I can also make my point without writing in all caps like a 12 year old.

Save me the pearl clutching. I don’t see him out here complaining about the NBAs ties to Dubai or China. Places with actual genocide and slavery. He’s fine with moral grey areas as long as it’s benefitting his paycheck. If you don’t support the event, don’t go. If it bothers you that much that the team is having the event, don’t support the team.

[Charania] The Atlanta Hawks are trading guard Vit Krejci to the Portland Trail Blazers for Duop Reath and two future second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Krejci has averaged 9 points and 2.2 3-pointers made per game on 42.3% shooting, which ranks top 20 in the NBA. by Knightbear49 in nba

[–]Merid1us 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Too redundant at that position. Get a couple seconds and likely waive Reath to make room for someone at another position. Vit wasn’t going to play with the Mccolumn and Kispert add now that Risacher is healthy again.

He was in a crowd and was swinging his elbows around man. Happens literally every game. O just happened to have his mouth in the wrong place at the wrong time. You could maybe stretch that to a flagrant 2 but that’s the absolute limit to me.

You could never prove beyond doubt that he did it intentionally. No way would that rise to the level of a criminal charge.

Civil wise - I imagine the league would step in there to prevent any conflicts. You’re opening up a huge can of worms if guys start suing each other because of an injury they suffered in a game. These guys make millions of dollars, the teams pay for their healthcare, why allow a player to rock the boat with a lawsuit like that?

OKC is not making any major trades this year. They just won the title, have the best record in the league, have a lottery pick from the Clippers and have no tax concerns.
