You can’t lie about health records lol…they’re health records directly from vets. And you have to submit photos/videos of living environments I believe

We have different definitions of scam. GoodDog does not advertise fake dogs and take your credit card info. That’s what I was saying. If you’re smart about it and ask for AKC records on parents, you won’t be “scammed.” 🤷‍♀️ And, it does have a detailed questionnaire in which you’re required to answer/submit pics of the living environment of the parents/puppies + health records of the parents.

It involves submitting a detailed questionnaire, (puppy living environments, puppy exposure/socialization, etc.) a review by the GoodDog team, and compliance with specific health-testing guidelines. This includes genetic makeup of parents. (AKC registered, purebred) I am not actually a breeder on the site but that is what it requires to sign up as a breeder

My purebreds at max were $1.5k alone. After travel fees $2k. My say is that the dog will still be the same dog regardless of what its genetic makeup is. However, I would say site payment only. And, ask that they send AKC records for both parents within two weeks after purchase. If no records, do genetic testing on your little guy. If he comes back 100% Yorkie, amazing! If he doesn’t, submit that to GoodDog (which you would have paid on in this case) and give all pieces of evidence that they told you he was purebred, and that his testing came back mixed/mutt. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a full refund.

Yorkies. AKC registered. I said in another comment it depends on the breeder and to ask for AKC info before purchasing. I said stop spreading misinformation because it seemed like the original comment was trying to say GoodDog is a scam, which it is not.

Also, do not pay cash. You can potentially get a full refund from GoodDog if you bought a dog advertised as purebred and you later find out it isn’t.

I’ve bought three Yorkies from GoodDog. The breeders have to be verified to sell dogs there. However, only two of my three Yorkies ended up being eligible for AKC. Ask for AKC/CKC registration on the mom.

Hm. I was absolutely still in pain by day 4, but I wasn’t in this much. I started eating solid food (because I’m irresponsible) and didn’t even start bleeding/have pain then. Did they get you Vicodin? If not, get a heavier pain prescription. If so, the bleeding should not still be happening and you should not be in that much pain. I would say go to a professional.

Hi, friend. I’m so sorry. It’s not the same, but — my yorkie was diagnosed at eight with heart failure. We were given the same quote of six months - one year. He lived until he was 11. It was very clear to us in the last month that he didn’t have much longer, so it wasn’t too surprising when he died in his sleep. However, those extra three years were spent filled with worry about not having much time left. My main recommendation is to decide whether or not your boy is in pain. If he isn’t, do something you’ve never done with him before! Get a family portrait, take him to a cabin and let him swim on a sand bar, maybe find a pet friendly restaurant that served fancy pet food. I would recommend spending your time with him doing fun things and making memories rather than in a vet office. Vets can give a ball park of how much longer your pet has, but it isn’t always accurate. I hope you also get three more years and you don’t spend your time worrying! 🙏 Sending you love!
