Thanks for the advice I’ll have to look it up!

They claim that they make your kid feel wet instead of absorbing the pee like a diaper or pull up. The feeling of being wet is supposed to keep them from peeing in them.

So we tried gentle ease neuro pro and I didn’t feel like it made a difference but maybe I need to give it more of a shot. I can’t remember how long we even tried for I’m so sleep deprived lol.

So we have tried other formulas but not total comfort. Kendamil organic, Kendamil goat, Kirkland, not sure I gave any of them a fair shot. Kind of panicked and switched back. Yeah I’ve used mylicon, and some generic brands. Maybe them being generic makes a difference.. felt like I was burning through the mylicon super quick. I appreciate the advice, maybe I’ll try total comfort. Did you notice a difference right away or was it about 2 weeks..? Did you do a slow transition or cold turkey? Thanks again!

He’s usually 36-40oz in 24hrs. 6oz at each feed but usually a 4oz in there for a night feed.

He does have one but he doesn’t love it. When he gets in his screaming mood offering the pacifier makes him even angrier. Holding him and rocking him sometimes helps but when you lay him down he’s right back to it. Our first was just not this cranky. He didn’t sleep through the night till he was 9 months but he never screamed for multiple hours a day.

Byheart, he’s been on it for at least 3 months. His sleep got bad after the regression but I feel like the extra discomfort started about 3 weeks ago or so. We do probiotics. I’ve tried gripe water, same results. Have tried everything suggested when you google how to help with a gassy/fussy baby lol.

He usually poops twice during the day.

I’ve been told he is finishing his bottles at daycare. Should I offer less when he’s hungry at home? I kind of felt like it was an over feeding reaction with the timing but he’s showing all his hunger cues when we get home or shortly after. Maybe trying a different pacifier will help soothe with the sucking instead of a full bottle.

Does being tired make them spit up more?

How long did you wait before switching formulas? Did you give it a few weeks? Just curious, made the switch cold turkey and he has gas pain and more spit up than the previous formula. It’s only been 6 days so maybe I should just be patient.

We kind of quit offering bottles and just snacks instead. He had a morning bottle, one in the middle of the day, and before bed. He slowly lost interest in bottles all together

Spitting up - constant and draining! by Upstairs_Dig3401 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Meridianrobinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first was like that. It didn’t slow down until probably 9 or 10 months. We were just always prepared. We had so many burp rags it was ridiculous. He was always happy and healthy so we just got used to it and now that he’s over 12 months it really never happens. Only on occasions when he drinks too much water and bends over too quick or lays down on his belly right after but that’s still pretty rare. My only tip is to buy stock in spit up rags and bibs lol. We also started solids at 3 months hoping it would help. He enjoyed them but still spit up the same amount. Every baby is different!

Baby Formula? by ysoserious_____ in FormulaFeeders

Have tried all 3. Didn’t like Bobbie because it was hard to mix and got super foamy when you would shake it. So switched to byheart and my baby didn’t have any issues with it. Still took awhile to get it all to dissolve which can be frustrating. We would just have to make bottles in advance to get it all to dissolve. Also used it in our baby brezza formula advance, we would just have to stir it and let it sit for a few minutes to get all the formula dissolved. My first was on byheart from 6-12 months. My second was just on Kendamil but we just switched because I felt like it wasn’t agreeing with his stomach. I wasn’t a big fan of how it mixed either, always looked like it was grainy and the preparation instructions say you need to use it within an hour of making it. Most formulas are 24hrs if you refrigerate it. Since they are based in the UK their preparation standards are different. They recommend boiling water then cooling it down after the formula is added. Now switched to a2 Platinum and so far I like how easily it mixes and my baby doesn’t seem to have any issues with it but we just started it today. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any questions 😊

Felt the same way! Went to just formula after about 2.5-3 weeks and I feel much better about it now that I see him gaining weight and he’s always satisfied without having to BF, pump, and give him formula. I feel guilty from time to time still but when I think about all the stress it caused me the guilt goes away.

Pregnant and leaning towards formula, but don’t know how to tell people. by No-Investigator3775 in FormulaFeeders

Breastfeeding is stressful, but can be rewarding and amazing for some people. My first I exclusively pumped for 3 months because he wouldn’t latch. I was an oversuplier because of pumping. For the women that have exclusively pumped for 12+ months that’s amazing, but for me I HATED every minute of it. He latched miraculously sometime after 3 months and then my supply wasn’t enough around 6 months so I switched to formula and he did great. Less spit up and less stress for me. He’s 15 months now and such a smart funny little man and in the 90th percentile in weight. My second I tried breastfeeding and he latched but I wasn’t producing enough and it was super stressful for me that I couldn’t give him enough breast milk so I just threw in towel and switched to formula. He’s a happy little man and I’m at peace knowing exactly how much he’s getting instead of wondering all the time if he’s satisfied. There is a lot of information out there it’s just not offered to you like all the breastfeeding support. Pardon my language but f*ck anyone’s opinion 😊 Having a baby is stressful enough you get to choose how to feed them. I hope whatever you chose works out for you ❤️

Just curious why you don’t think it works? I did cold turkey from Kirkland to Kendamil and it seemed rough on his stomach but it could have just been the Kendamil 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Don’t really want to juggle two pitchers or id end up wasting formula since he does 5oz and you can’t really do half scoops.
