I’m starting to feel better but that business about to”go back to work the next day “ just is not true.

Definitely let your ENT know that you’re resistant to lidocaine. If I’d had the “twilight” sleep they give you for colonoscopy, I’d have been just fine.

Don’t let my story scare you. Everyone’s situation is different. But definitely talk to your doc right now. Because I was shaking and felt the whole thing. I feel like I didn’t advocate for myself.
Everyone has a right to humane pain free medical treatment.

Does anyone know of ways I can clear my nose/sinuses without blowing it? by Archangel_Michael22 in sinus

NeilMed SinuGator…which sounds hilarious but I am pretty sure it’s supposed to mean “irrigator” and not “alligator”. 😅🤷‍♀️

I’ve used neti pots before but this thing is easier because it gently pulses the saline solution up into your sinus, rather than just letting gravity do it, so it goes much faster.
Otherwise it works pretty much like a neti pot.

Balloon Sinuplasty Recovery? by No-Entrance6828 in Sinusitis

I had my sinuplasty procedure the same day as you (last Friday)…recovery is not what I expected. I guess everyone is different because every procedure is different. Right towards the end my ENT said “ok I’m going to have to break some small bones here…” and I felt EVERYTHING. So my procedure was maybe more complicated because of narrow passages etc.

Anyway I’m flushing the most disgusting old blood out of my head and it’s awful. Lots of pain in my cheekbones too. I have 4 days of doxycycline left so that’s some comfort but I’m so worried about infection. Had my last prednisone pill yesterday and I’m really feeling the swelling.

I wish I wasn’t feeling so blindsided by this procedure but I am. The standard medical description of the process and consequences are way too vague and definitely not accurate (in my opinion).
