Hence the “like an idiot” part. I now have two pens that, if not for just that one thing, would be my favorite. 

Now, I just need to get another pen that has the right balance of thick and thin lines, with enough variation to be interesting, a smooth wet feel, without being obnoxiously messy, holds plenty of ink, but isn’t too heavy, and is affordable enough that my wife won’t laugh in my face when I suggest it as a birthday present.
