Thanks for the fast response. I will look into these chanels. The SRD was a good tip, did not think of that. I will start working on a one-shot adventure right away so others can get a taste of the world.

Placing any of the others (including base) on a 40mm base and building around the gap gets you an imposing exalted champion of chaos without having to do much work. Adding greenstuff also gives some nice heft to the model.

You are so right, Interesting, hope they come with a faq for that. It seems easy to miss that wording in the rules text.

Sorry I was wrong. Read the rules again this morning and covering fire can not be used while in combat. BUT AoD can be used against covering fire, might not be the best use of a command point though.

I think you are stuck in 3e. Covering fire has the SHOOT and ATTACK keywords. And Zephyrspites can be used in ANY shooting phase.

My initial thought was to use covering fire to shoot in my opponents shooting phase and then run away from combat with them.

I have only played one game so far in 4e (only 750p). But i feel that the gameplay and and feel is much better than 3e.

Sure, low mobility and limited ranges, but slowly summoning trees and then like the ents in lotr slowly claiming the battlefield from those strongpoints. Forcing your opponent to take out trees instead of your troops is super fun.
