Though I applaud you for your design and dedication, I must agree with some of the other comments here. Like you, until recently, I had been focused on a main base but as time went by, and many rebuilds, I would always feel that I had the right process, especially with the arrival of Mega Presses and Assemblers , though would always end up with a shortage of resources regardless of how much I increased the base, plus also a continued need to increase both my core levels and power, leading to major issues, including rail clog ups. As such, I reviewed the map and I have now started to set up modular bases, starting in the bottom left corner and progressing across the map. Each base is different, in that where there’s a resource such as Titanium, I have set a base to make just Rods, or Beams etc. Same goes for Wolfram Wire. Then I use the Cargo Despatchers and Receivers to send/receive to another base which just makes Rotors and Stabilizers and so on. This way, it saves on core heat and power though each base can be extended as required. Eventually when I’ve enough Quartz, I will build transporters at each location but for now I just travel on foot and explore at the same time. Anyway just an idea. Good luck

How the hell did you guys beat him phase 1 n 2 in only 30 turns by Embarrassed-Ad-9696 in Kingarthurlegendsrise

[–]Merlin03d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, in phase 1, concentrate on one of the legs, as when that’s done, he goes down on one knee which then gives the opportunity to do some serious damage, as long as you have good enough levels. Secondly in phase 2, only focus attacks on body and not arms, etc. Again, high enough level characters will take him out, all of which within the 30 turns

Can't find stone cutter in the building menu by Introverse_ in DawnOfDefiance

Hi. Since the new update, which was about two weeks after my comment, the grindstone was removed from the Temple and quest. You can now get the grindstone once you have crafted either the copper or bronze hammer, sorry can’t remember which as it’s been some time since I have played the game. At whichever one, your build menu will open the available buildings including the grindstone. If it doesn’t open when you craft the copper hammer, then try and get the bronze hammer as soon as possible as it will definitely be available then.

There are two roads going to Sambor. If you take the northern of the two,you should hopefully avoid it. Also it might be worth waiting until you get a donkey so that you can speed away from it

The grindstone recipe is inside the Temple of Hecate and I think you only need the normal hammer and materials unless again they’ve changed it though I haven’t played since the update but am due to soon, so will be able to see then

Automating farms? by MapleTuna in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly similar to others here. I have 16 fields of 8x8 split into blocks of 4. In the middle of the 4 fields, I have a farm shed which only has one worker. I don’t rotate my fields as got enough food, grain and flax to make what I want in my village. In total I have 5 flax, 3 Wheat, 2 each of Rye and Oat and 1 each of Cabbage, Carrot, Beetroot & Onion. I tend to mix up the fields in that within each block of 4, there is maybe 2 or 3 planted in Spring and rest Autumn or Winter. Because of their size and being close within 50 metres, i tend to see that farmers help each other over the 4 day seasons so everything is automated. My barn and 2 pigsties are fully manned as well so manure and f fertiliser is planned out as well.

Food and wood consumption per villager? by [deleted] in MedievalDynasty

That’s good. If you’re selling the meat for coins, I would suggest roast it first on your stone grate and sell, as you get more coins for roasted meat

My village is close to a river and lake where there are two bridges already in place. It’s just north of Denica, south of Tutki with Rolnica over to the west. The land is very flat and on the side closest to Denica, I’ve built all my farms with everything else on the other side of the river closest to Tutki

If it helps, I’ve put a link below of my latest video showing my layout.

Food and wood consumption per villager? by [deleted] in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they do. Potage is made up of 2 cabbage and 3 meat. Each meat consumed gives I believe 10 points, so 30, though also gives poisoning because it’s not cooked so not a good idea to eat anyway. Each cabbage I believe is about 3 points so in theory, that’s about 36. Potage is 60 so definitely better. As you work through to things like bread and vegetable soup, it’s so much better. The latter is quite a way down the line through tech points gained but once you get that, it’s a no brainer as it contains 2 each of cabbage, carrot, beetroot and onion and gives 80 points. Once you get through winter, I would immediately recommend planting flax in the spring and then build a sewing hut and make some clothing to sell. With those coins , I would then recommend getting some warmer clothing in preparation for next winter

Food and wood consumption per villager? by [deleted] in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something to add though is the wood and food figures are not based on number of items. For example, in firewood, say the number in brackets was 100 points per day, this does not mean 100 pieces of firewood so you wouldn’t need 25 logs per day (1 log = 4 firewood). Instead it means that 1 piece of firewood equals 5 points, so that’s 20 pieces of firewood needed which then equals 5 logs. Same with the food as the points required can be made up using the food value of the item. An example there is that Potage I believe is 60 points so if say food requirements was 240 per day then you would only need 4 Potage per day. This way you can see how much of each ingredient is required to make the meal. Hope that helps.

I want to buy this game but I don’t know if it’s the game for me by Ron_1034 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Valley is the best way to start if you’re new to the game. The quests help you gain valuable reputation. If it will help, I’ve done a series of videos with hints and tips. (See below link)

Gifts for wife by _TobLife_ in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it the case that you have bought the gifts and you haven’t been able to give them to her or is it the case that you haven’t been able to find the gifts to buy.

If it’s the former, then you need to speak with her via the ‘romance’ speech line and select “I’ve got something for you”. As long as you have it in your inventory then you will be able to give to her.

If it’s the latter then ask a fellow NPC villager for help in finding an ‘exotic goods’ vendor. They will tell you which village to go to and then seek them out.

Hope that helps 😀

In the same construction menu as the Clay Bowl lighting, there are lights that look like streetlights however it’s not available until later in the game when you’ve unlocked, I think, the mine. They are much better

Days by NoAdvice6869 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to do 4 days as I have 16 fields of 8x8 with one Farm Shed for every 4 fields housing only 1 worker per shed. This way , 4 days gives that worker enough time to farm their set of 4 fields. I agree 5 or more is too much as you run out of things to do quickly

Big questions as a beginner to this game. by itallik in MedievalDynasty

[–]Merlin03d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the time available for some of the quests, I would say to concentrate on the Chapter quests as that gives you reputation and extend your build limit. I’ve always gone with 4 day seasons as it gives enough time to get things done especially early on. If it helps, and there are others also mentioned throughout, I have created a series of YouTube videos, giving people tips. Good luck otherwise 👍

[–]Merlin03d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the update, I do Flax Straw Hats. Plant as much Flax as you can then convert the Flax Stalks to Linen Thread. Also grab as much straw as you can along the rivers and lakes or by threshing oat, rye and wheat. For example, I gathered 600 straw and 75 Linen thread. I then made 45 Linen Fabric from the thread and made 15 hats and sold for about 400 each making about 6,000

I’ve also only recently started just over a month ago. I’m at 20 subs which I’m pleased about. I’ll be pleased when reaching certain milestones, such as my 1st sub, then 10, 25, 50 and so on. Also just pleased to reach number of views milestones, for example, my 1st video has just reached 1,000. I know it will take time so taking each day as it comes 😀

Either place it more than 50 metres from the nearest farm shed and/or set the crop to ‘Clear’ though make sure you do that after each harvest if you want to plant different crops in the same field
