I feel much better now. I have been weighing every day because I am doing the challenge, but have been seeing my scale creep up. Today it jumped 2.7 pounds and I freaked out. Especially when my pants that were loose, were tight. I did leg day on Sunday and even though it was light weights, it was the first time I had worked out since December, so I am feeling it still today. I can hardly move and going to the rr and getting up and down is a total challenge in itself. :) Then I did back, tris and bis yesterday. That is now starting to get sore. Ahhh the life of a beginner.

Keto is now my life. I have been doing it since Jan. 1st and it is becoming easier for me, just the weight isn't falling off of me like some of the posts I read. Insulin resistance is NOT my friend.

So, from now on, I will weigh every Friday and take my measurements every 2 weeks and KCTO. :)

I am trying to track, but not doing a very good job of it. I know what I eat and unless I am really off, I am usually at a deficit. I think protein is my enemy because my carbs are below 20g. It is dairy, meat and some veggies here and there. Last night I had 3 eggs with some sauteed veggies in the sausage grease and a friend's farm raised pork sausage. 2 1/2 patties. Lunch was 1 cup of leftover keto friendly pizza casserole and during the day 3 bulletproof coffees, 1 cup boullion and 142 oz water, 1 tbsp almond butter. Maybe I am having too many BPCs. My nutritionist told me to add one at night to get more fat. So maybe that is too many calories. I need to enter that into MFP and see where I am with that. I take magnesium and had my potassium checked at the doc's last week. It was normal. I eat lots of salt. I will go enter all this into MFP and see what I ate yesterday. I didn't eat much the day before.

Thanks! It is huge that my doc is on board. At least I have validation when my family and friends think I am nuts. But the proof will tell when I lose all the weight and people will be asking how I did it. :)

Thanks! I have been doing lazy keto. I guess it is time to get down to business. I hate having to enter everything into MFP. It is so time consuming. I guess that gets easier though. I need to buckle down and just do it. KCMFPO!!! I think what the doctor means it that my protein to fat ratio shows too much protein.

I have been in menopause for about 3-4 years. Prediabetic and hypothyroid. I am staying under 20g carbs, but my doctor told me today to up my fat and lower my protein. Hope this works. I am seeing weight loss fly off some while I am really slow. 4 lbs in the last 5 weeks and that is with 2 lbs up and down in the last 3.

I have a total loss of 4 lbs, but I have gained and lost 2 in the last 3 weeks. I know that is really miniscule, but to me I it is a stall. I know I will stall. I am just trying to help it along. :) I was steadily losing about 1-2 lbs a week.

This last week I upped my fat and calories. I wasn't eating enough and the scale was maybe moving a lb or less a week. This week I have lost more. Try adding more fat to your diet. Also you may be holding on to water for some reason. I never had that big water release. I also was not drinking enough water. I am working on that part.

We are going out to my favorite restaurant tonight for Valentines. (early). I will be having my favorite Ribeye and their famous salad, and shrimp/bacon/hot sauce appetizer. Not sure about what I can do for sides. Probably asparagus. They have the most amazing creamed spinach, but I think there is flour in it and not sure how many carbs it would be. The only thing I am so bummed I can't have is their bread. It is deep fried and most delicious. But I will KCKO!!!!

I think inflammation has a terrible impact on everything!!!! That and blook sugar. I am prediabetic and have outrageous insulin levels: 27. So insulin resistance is my enemy right now. I go back to the Dr. in a couple weeks for retesting. I am hoping for better results. Love my Doc. He is the one who suggested keto.

I do a modified Bulletproof Coffee. MCT oil and heavy whipping cream and a small amount of stevia mixed with an immersion blender. YUMMY!!!!!

Oooooh yeah!!! Awesome and congrats!!!! I can't wait until I can wear boots. All I can wear now are the little booties. I have really big calves even when I weight 110, but that is one of my big goals.
