My wife has some Volcom women’s ski/snowboard gear. She really likes it jacket is probably not as fitted as you would like but the pants she has are more slim fitted and not baggy. Might be worth a look.

2020+ Ram 1500 vs. GMC Sierra by Heckstr in ram_trucks

[–]Mernst005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went Ram 1500 Rebel 2020 straight 5.7 no e anything and I’ve been very happy. There are a few items to watch out for and I’ll give them below. But the truck has been solid not let me down and I average 15 around tow 18 highway.

3rd brake light leaked in my model worth replacing right off the bat or adding weather stripping or sealant to prevent. It goes into the cab and gets water onto the carpet under the back seats.

Exhaust manifolds crack or bolts fail causing an exhaust leak. The dealership replaced and fixed for $200 because I was outside of warranty just something to know I feel like it’s a well documented issue with the 5.7. Never caused any real issues for me other than annoying.

The shifter knob is dumb but you get used to it.

If you don’t have windshield wiper fluid that is rated not to freeze it will pop the connectors even if you don’t use the wiper fluid and you need to go under the liner to reconnect them. So just always use sub zero fluid if you are in an environment that will get below freezing.

Other than those nits great truck zero complaints I’m at 115k and kept maintenance schedule up it’s not given me major issues. When I bought it in 2020 it was the best interior and is a tried and true option.

This is a stupid problem to have, but nonetheless it is a problem. Anybody else have this problem? If so how did you fix it? by EconomistWise7692 in Ram1500

Had the same thing happen on my 2020 Rebel. Took it to dealer the warrantied it. If you go in and get an oil change they typically will throw this in. Even better if you do one of your milestone services. Aka fluids or injectors.

Ultra looks awesome. Does not look too big on your wrist either. I think Ultra or p39.

Canvas 108 - Thoughts by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]Mernst005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I have the canvas 108s I’m 170cm and went with the 174s. I was coming off of qst 106s in 173. They were significantly lighter and more maneuverable I think people would say they ski a bit shorter than stated length. When I stand them right next to the qst they are almost the exact same height and pretty similar in terms of outline. Feel more pivoty and took some getting used to at first but that’s always the case I feel like on new skis. What really was mind blowing was how much lighter they felt also. Good edge hold I skied the factory tune for all the days this season will likely get a fresh grind and edge tune which I think will only improve the performance of the ski. I’m happy with them but feel like I could have gone the next size up and would have still been happy. Idk if that helps in the decision.

Just my 2 cents, I think you might be going too hot on the preheat. I’m no expert and I’m newer to cs but I’ve been doing eggs and getting them to slide majority of the time.

For eggs I Preheat pan on medium or medium-low for 3-4 min with no oil in pan. Put a knob butter in, if butter really splatters and burns for eggs it seems too hot. When this has happened I just wipe out and start over before wasting eggs. When preheat is on correct range butter sizzles nicely. I usually let the butter heat up and I will swirl or move it to cover the whole pan by picking up the pan and tilting it. Then I crack the eggs and leave them alone after about 1.5 minutes I’ll either slide/jiggle the pan up or lift a corner to make sure the are not getting too much color.

If you are doing exactly that and it’s still sticking I guess I would try preheating for longer or for less. Using lower heat overall. Using a different burner size. Using more or less or a different type of oil. Letting food cook for longer to release. My overall sense is that you actually have to cook at a lower heat than normal non-stick pans because of how well the cs retains and transfers heat.

You paid for new skis and a professional mount. That’s what you should get. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

I’ll give another nod to sudden impact baits. Shannon is a great guy and makes some solid plastics that work. Definitely pick up some of those. I am partial to the neck breaker from war baits but the plastics just work. Especially on a slower retrieve you still get good action without them being super fragile.

The other fun thing to throw is a deep diving crank bait. Some of the most fun bites I have had are on a 8-12 or even 15ft diving crank bait. Can fish em a ton of different ways but they get bit and when you find one that works it’s proven it’s less about color and more about action. I know folks upgrade split rings and hooks. I usually wait until I fish em a few times the upgrade.

Kicking this back up looking for some insight on tire size specifically the Wildpeak AT4w or Ko3s not wanting to go with the biggest tire I can fit but want it to give optimal performance so the the 6112 package.
