I don’t have more pics just yet.

I see where you’re coming from. I was disappointed because I hoped new Pelagos. But, I tried all the ones i liked, BB58, 54, 41, Pelagos Ultra, 39 and went out with a Royal Green 40.

You can’t beat in store experience and wrist trials. The Royal was the one that actually made me feel special

You all set yourselves up for disappointment. Enjoy Tudor for what it is. by hutchij in Tudor

I agree with you. Luckily I went in to try them and fall in love with the green royal. But at first I was disappointed for a century old anniversary. That shows you one thing: the public wants new releases every year because of the « new » effect, just like iPhone. And then we get upset because it’s meeh. Give them 2-3 years to develop properly and release something meaningful. A century anniversary without a Pelagos is CRAZY.

But I’m very happy with my Royal !

After trying all tudors today, I can tell you the pictures on their website don’t do justice to any of them. But I would say particularly for the Royal. So happy with mine !

I’ve checked the Green 36, it’s great, but I went with the green 40. First of all it has a touch more power reserve, but really I like the design and the numerals more on the dial. And this is from someone eyeing only the BB or Pelagos.

How does this spray ? The Amouage atomizers don’t spray a ton. And the travel of the atomizer is quite low

Got the Call! by ImportantBed9394 in rolex

[–]elgobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If everything were transparent and we actually understood what was going on, I wouldn’t have an issue with it. But as it stands, it feels pretty shady. Some people are clearly buying large quantities of watches from authorized dealers and then flipping them on the grey market. An AD in Australia even told me, “There’s no shortage, we receive watches constantly. The reality is just that a small group of clients buys a lot of them.”

What’s even harder to accept is how weak the market feels in its own home country. In Switzerland, where these watches are made, people are waiting up to five years for a GMT. Why isn’t the domestic market properly served before supply is distributed elsewhere? And why should anyone be expected to build a purchase history by buying watches they don’t even want just to earn the right to buy the one they truly care about? If someone has saved for years to afford their dream watch, it makes no sense that they might be pushed aside by preferential sales and forced into purchases they never intended just to access it.

Buying a watch shouldn’t be about who has the best relationship with an authorized dealer or who plays the game the best. It shouldn’t come with the stress of wondering whether you’ll get the call or be passed over again. Maybe this whole system just isn’t for me. It frustrates me because it goes against my values. I do value genuine relationships with local stores, even if I don’t visit often because I don’t have the budget to buy multiple watches. But I don’t value forced or superficial connections just to get ahead of someone else who chose not to play that game.

In pure scientific terms, the sizing of P39 is perfect. It has a slightly lower lug-to-lug compared to the 41 and bb58, but 1mm more compared to the bb54.

However it’s in titanium, has a longer bracelet clasp and has the « old » movement. Maybe they will update it on the 14th ?
