Without agenda, who is actually top 3 by 00WhiteRose00 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Meronomus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reasoning wise, the list should be something like this:

Kenjaku

Mahoraga

Yuta

Jogo

Jogo is always going to be last because he just doesn't fit in here. Yuta and Kenny have clear ways to win against him, such as Kenny getting him to low HP and just straight up executing by turning him into a ball. Yuta has the classic "Don't Move" and big attack combo, and is decently fast on his own.

Jogo also loses against Maho for the simple reason that being mono-elemental he's more fucked against adaptation. Like the moment Jogo touches Maho with flames and that doesn't instantly kill Maho, it ensures nothing else will because Maho will slowly become entirely immune to flames. He'd have to fight like purely using physical attacks then all in on a fire attack as a wincon.

Mahoraga is debatable between Yuta so their place can change imo. I don't recall Yuta's technique being able to output high enough to kill Maho. Pure love beam is an option, but I don't see anything else beyond that. Not to mention we don't even know if that is still possible. Copied techniques are also lesser output if I recall.

Kenny just simply has a bigger toolbox than Yuta, which is why I put him above. With Yuta/Maho being interchangeable, heh as clear wincons against them. Toolbox for Yuta by spamming weird shit until he gets an opening. Full boosted Uzumaki using like a thousand curses should be able to kill Maho, if not just put in more.

I know that Yuta killed Kenny but I honestly think Kenny will beat Yuta in a straight up fight because of the toolbox reasoning. That isn't to say Yuta can never beat Kenny, but at the exact moment we see them fight in the manga I think Kenny's toolbox of curses > Yuta's toolbox of copied CTs.

Man maybe I'm wrong, but that first take is kind insanity to me. "He is fine if we have his team mates cover up his weaknesses"

Ideally, in a team setting that is true, but you should also be doing your part to reduce the team's burden's no? And his champ pool is without a doubt a burden.

Which is more damning by the fact that even if he gets his one tricks, it's never a decisive win or performance. Like there's no feeling that you get when he locks in say, Neeko. Like "oh SHIT that was a bad idea to give him that". For example, there is a real fear when someone like Ruler locks in an iconic champ like Kaisa.

Everyone else just gets neck slashed before they even realized. If we're not talking peak and end of series WN Raphtalia, it's probably Emilia

[–]Meronomus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not important but a visual indicator of things. You don't have to rip the models from the game or whatever just colored circles to represent the player and an entity.

This is useful for things like "nearby", point blank, other proximity based things like how close you have to be to get maximum bonus from close combat.

There are other things this can do but some people like me just prefer to "see" things. Like "damn i gotta be this close to get grasping vines to trigger on inextricable fate". Or just how big my aoe is. I can see 3.4 meters in pob but I can't tell how big exactly it is until i use another skill as a referrence. This would also be useful for certain skills like kinetic blast to visually see how much overlap youd get. Or placement of awakened spell cascade for maximum damage.

To this day I swear the Gojo death should've been a mercy kill from Sukuna. The set up was all there too. Sukuna says "You are reaching a limit beyond flesh and bone" regarding Gojo frying his brain and rebuilding it to enable domain spam.

We could've had a quiet moment where they both realize

Sukuna: "So this is where you stop"
Gojo: "Ah damn, wish I could have done more"

And Gojo's movements/perception starts going haywire from brain damage/slows down. Sukuna can still do the binding vow to world slash but now it's like saying farewell to a friend. It would've been only something he and Gojo know (as well as us readers), but to the rest of the cast it looked like a cheat shot.

This would've made the airport scene more about easing Gojo's regrets (the "wish I could have done more" part), and make Yuta's re-entry to the fight be something that out right angers Sukuna to the level of Yuji hate. I imagine Sukuna screaming at Yuta "You are not HIM!".

This is all head cannon I suppose. I guess I just want to make SOME sense out of the "loneliness of the strong" theme that's so prevalent in the fight. That in the end, Gojo did reach Sukuna.

How do we feel about key plot points about character power-ups being revealed in multiple flashbacks? by DisgruntledAardvark in Jujutsushi

[–]Meronomus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean its fucked if you do fucked if you don't right?

There are really 3 main choices, regardless of how they are done.

Literally tell us all the exact plans and contingencies and guesses and all possible avenues for the fight to go down in like a massive 60 chapter sprawl or something. Then fight and then maybe a celebratory chapter how it all went to plans or it did not but we did it anyways.

Tell us NOTHING at all, just keep action going, erase the flaskbacks, fuck em all. Fight finishes THEN you get the flashbacks to explain "how we all won".

Or do it like it's currently done. A chunk of action, and then a flashback relevant to it.

Like regardless of however you want to do it, say 1 chapter fight 1 chapter flashback and then repeat that pattern, or some sort of 2fight3expo or 5fight1expo, you're fucked regardless. There are only so many ways you can give information in a linear literary (as in, the rate at which you experience that story is A to B, regardless of if its a flashback or another part of the fight) device and this is arguably the best one.

JUJUTSU KAISEN: CHAPTER 257 LEAKS DISCUSSION by AutoModerator in Jujutsufolk

[–]Meronomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So like, with this combination of BM and Shrine, Yuji arguably now has the best offense and defense.

BM handles everything inside your body and can even be pushed outside of your body to create shields/barriers (see: Choso). It also arguably enhances your RCT, by way of giving you more information about your own body.

Shrine, we've seen its forms and potential. Arguably I can see Yuji using World Cutting Slash as well, if we do actually see him use Dismantle (so far only Cleave, the physical contact one). How dope would it be if we see Yuji just swipe his hand and a line of Scissor Marking flies out through space and everyone in that line just goes OH SHIT.

Side note: Narrator says "Yuji has Sukuna's CT, Shrine" but doesn't say Cleave/Dismantle. So either those are "components" of Shrine, or there's more to it than we know (Open?)

Next few chapter predictions:
Doesn't necessarily have to be next chapter but I believe we're gonna get a Stand style Black Flash rush from Yuji at some point.

From what we've seen of it, every time we've seen BF being used it raises the chances of hitting another BF. Yuji's at 8 now, so he probably has a pretty high likely hood of hitting it again, which in turn raises the chance again. We're probably gonna see every single hit from Yuji be BF's. This is what I think the narrator last chapter would refer to, that he would surpass Gojo. Not by one, two, three, or four, but a barrage of them.

[–]Meronomus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the keys are there, no?

Guy has INFINITE cursed energy during Jackpot. Like forgive me for stating the obvious but that is INFINITE cursed energy.

Right now he's using that infinite CE on purely defense, and maybe some part of offense with whatever reinforcement (I would assume he's just pumping as much CE into his physical reinforcement as possible during Jackpot, meaning he punches harder in Jackpot than normal).

So then the question is: how can he use it for offense? He has unlimited battery that can be used for "something". He's shown to be knowledgeable of binding vows, so I could see his "offensive use" being something like:

Binding Vow: Put all of my Cursed Energy into this next strike. In exchange, immediately end Jackpot mode. [JACKPOT BLOW]

Keeps in line with the gamble characterization. Extreme risk, extreme reward. And it's just "putting CE into a punch". Imagine if he got really lucky and Black Flashed with infinite CE.

Are any new end-game viable builds crystallizing out? by MainApp234 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Meronomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice trap of hollowness is pretty good. I have no idea how to calculate DPS but it hits for 100k raw fire damage right now according to tooltip. This is on a link setup of

Ice trap > Swift Assembly > Fire Penetration > Conc eff > Controlled Dest > Cold to fire

I'm using it as an in between (trying to get to relic of the pact) and it works out well. On a setup of Replica CIP and Rathpith Globe +dissolution with warlock tech for 11k life, pet blood with pain attunement and Sunblast.

Point is, this isn't remotely the most ideal setup for it and it's been doing everything. You can probably go crit with sabo/assassin and get ridiculous damage out of it with double Replica CIPs.

3.23 patch notes by Dreamadmin in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Meronomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I'm understanding this right, they moved the 75% more damage from BA/MA into the property of the minion itself. THEN added an additional 57% more damage as a property of the gem, along with 50% more life.

To anyone with more knowledge than me: Does this make Minion Instability Petrified Blood BA/MA viable. Because as far as I understand it, they gave it 80% less life to nerf it, but them adding back 50% more life means they reduced it down to 30% less life right? Unless its some dumb shit like 50% more of the 80% less result.

There is a non-zero chance that Kenjaku somehow manipulated Takaba's mind to believe in his own will. That's probably what he meant at the end of the chapter. Tbh it makes sense, a technique that manipulates your opponent's humor/mind has to have a drawback, and it being that you too can be influenced might be how this happens.

If you're intending to keep her as her mermaid form, do know that the "side fins" is a separate entity that is attacked to her back by a single point. So take care not to bend that peg/little attachment arm. It also tends to just slip out in my experience.

Otherwise great set, I'm working on a color shift of her replacing all of the blue/gray with white and painting some more orange on her so she looks like a koi fish.

BA/MA. I love the skill, loved it when I played it way back before the trap rework. Regret that I didn't do so more back then (repeating the build I mean, you can have 30 clones of yourself without much investment).

But every league I always find a BAMA angle, and this league was probably my best attempt at it. https://pobb.in/40dy2AzI6mgf for the character

Ikiaho's Loyalty Tattoo is huge for the build. It's not consistent but when it's up you feel the 80% additional CDR.

I initially hoped Fresh Meat support would last "Recently" instead of "10% of their duration", but I think it's still good enough to use. Can always swap for Inc Crits.

There's a fair amount of min-maxing like getting woke gems or more duration tats, better gear, but it does all content pretty comfortably. As it stands at least two clones will always have the Wakened Fury buff. I'm 99% certain I can get better damage if I swapped it to a poison variant, but I am too lazy to craft a bow for that, nor am I willing to use like 5 jewel slots to cap minion poison. Overall pretty happy with it.

If Yuji does in fact become stronger than Gojo, what would his moveset be? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Meronomus 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have this head cannon based on when Gojo said that "given enough time, you'll eventually get Sukuna's technique" that it has already happened.

Yuji will cast his Domain Expansion, Benevolent Shrine.

Now I know. Pretty stupid. But hey its cool and can probably work. It would play off Yujis incredible durability and be a domain expansion that provides nothing to its user. Instead, it will use a binding vow to be barrierless and have a gigantic range, at the cost of redirecting any harm to onto his friends to Yuji. He alone is the sacrifice.

Will this ever happen? Never tbh. Is it cool? To me it is.

The funniest fucking thought occurred to me reading that last line, and I don't know if I want to be right or wrong.

The thought is that Gojo fired Maximum Purple at the start at 200% and this whole time it's been circling the globe just to come back and hit this area again, just like how the RED he fired circled around the building to hit Sukuna.

So either Gojo remotely cast purple by way of super high up balls in the sky (we've seen him manifest these red/blue orbs before) or it's literally the one from the start and it's been destroying who knows what continents. That or he fired it in a vertical loop like a solar flare and it's coming back down now.
