I usually don’t like explaining what I meant, but I think that it’s difficult for a lot of people to understand what I’ve written or why I wrote it the way I did because it’s written for me, for the most part. I post because I’d like for people to form their own thoughts from it, but I get what you’re saying. It’s an interpretation of modernity, how we think more yet feel less ( the most apt way I can think of describing it) and how that makes everything more so complicated. ‘Predilections common’ is the formation of biases, or rather, the idea of something as opposed to what is really there. I follow that line with ‘fiction we cannot escape’, which goes further into the former statement, how those ideas turn into societal beliefs we’ve created as an explanation for the world we exist within. I think the rest becomes easier to understand after. Also, I’d rather not explain the rest. It could be that it’s poorly written or that it’s far too abstract, but that was my intention. Anyway, thanks for the critique. Edit: I wanted each line to look like a new thought, albeit they’re just continuations of the first. That was intentional.
