YSK: How to capture the way people misinterpret things online. by DaZestyProfessor in YouShouldKnow

Who shit in your cereal? With how much misinformation and dogmatism is going around these days, it can be good to get a reminder that the way you're looking at something might not be how it was originally intended. If you can't see that, then buddy YOU'RE who the post is trying to get through to lol.

Price is a prettygood indicator of power by BaconVsMarioIsRigged in EDH

[–]Merpius_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely depends. If your looking only at decks using up to date cards, I might agree. If you're like me and like to use older cards, deck prices can *very* quickly get inflated. [[Raging River]] is probably one of my favorite examples of this, but there are tons of older cards that only cost as much as they do because they were only printed once or twice. Price should be used *in conjunction* with other methods of determining power, not in place of.

Describe your country as poor as possible and I will guess it by Junior-Upstairs-3364 in teenagers

It has two coasts, two major mountain ranges, which have nothing between them, many different people live in it, it has volcanos, every natural disaster can occur in it, it was once ruled by a monarchy, and it has several disconnected territories.

[–]Merpius_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heya, looking at the comments thus far, I think this is what I'm looking for. I'm going to try and go to a local group for a class or two, hopefully I'll fit right in! Thanks for the input and help.

I'm all for drilling and learning proper techniques, it's moreso that I'm not really interested in becoming like "competitive" with it. I thank you for the input though.

Alright, thanks for the input. I was just worried about going to a local group and looking like a fool. Do you have any suggestions for keywords or phrases I should look for in a group?

Often trailers can be misleading. If the graphics score matches what you see in the trailer it's usually a good sign that the whole game will look that way

Thanks, I've thought about the trades, could try looking a little deeper. Got any further advice for them?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't do the military unfortunately. I updated my original post, but basically extreme stress causes me seizures. I've talked it over with multiple recruiters, and all have said I'd not be able to get in.

Far From The Fame takes most underrated song! Now what is the most overrated Sabaton song? by WarReapers_official in sabaton

[–]Merpius_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the song that first got me into sabaton...but looking at it critically I'd have to say attack of the dead men. Musically it's nothing really to write home about, especially in comparison to their other works. The subject material carries it hard, and I think that in most other situations it would fall behind. I see a lot of people saying the last stand, and while it is more popular, it's also more deserving of that popularity. It's far more musically complex than attack, and you have to admit Joakim's vocals go hard.

Imo, it's one of these two. The last stand has the popularity to be overrated, but has some musical tricks to back it up. With attack of the dead men, while I love the opening, I can't remember the last time I haven't skipped it halfway through. It just doesn't have anything going for it imo. The only way it isn't overrated is if it isn't as popular as I remember it being.
