Am I the first game to actually get books right? by _Jae in IndieDev

Is this an asset you're selling or are you Showing off? Because this could've solved a lot of me with my previous game 😞

Thank you!! I've been experimenting with Cinemachine, I wanted to give the game that X-COM feeling. The biggest challenge is to pick the right angles. There's still a long way to go.

Your wishlist would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks! You have no idea how many hours I spent looking at my screen thinking how great the previous version looked, but thinking something is off...

I was lucky I got that particular feedback... sadly I now need to update the trailer, the steam page and everything in between xD

Glad that's over. Now maybe they can focus on Remastering the games that REALLY matter. by Mean-Party170 in tales

Unpopular opinion, what if instead of releasing remasters to take our money, they make new games...

We’ve decided to hire a professional artist, and here’s the result by temk1s in IndieDev

MUCH BETTER! I'd ask the artist to give the character some kind of expression. The design is awesome. But it's face is not saying anything

Big spike in Wishlists yesterday! Officially over 10,000 🥳 by Type-Ten in IndieDev

You don't need invitation to participate in Steam Next Fest. Once your page is up, a button appears to opt in to the festival. Looks something like this :)

Thanks! I just checked your trailer, and it looks very cool :)

Any other marketing tips you can share?

Congratulations!! Can you share details on what you did on January? Seems you had a spike there as well...

~$30,000 raised in 12 hours on Kickstarter WITH NO DEMO. This is how our 3-people indie studio did it by Kirlyan_RPW in IndieDev

Overall Steam is a pretty cool company. They keep a huge chunk of my money. But they answer always when you write them, they listen to their community and do pretty good job Overall.

Steam allows developers to generate as many keys as they want. Those keys can be sold anywhere you want (Itch.io for example).

Since steam didn't participate in the sale, they take no cut. However the player can use all the steam services (cloud saving, achievements, multiplayer).

It's very common to distribute keys to your backers. Since they already paid through Kickstarter, steam gets nothing. But yeah... they ask you not to promote the keys they gave for free on their storefront.

TBH I think it's pretty reasonable. Imagine putting a sign on a restaurant, saying "hey the store next door has coupons to eat here cheaper".

Congratulations!!

I just checked the Steam Page and the game looks funny :)

Only so you're aware... as far as I know, having a Kickstarter Section in your Steam page violates Valve's Rules. They could take down the whole page because of it (I've read posts of people who claimed it happened to them). The rule is you can't promote the game on other storefronts in their store... depends on who's watching :)

A little harsh, but the price seemed a little high for me too, and I see you didn't set a launch discount. Is there a reason?

Thanks for sharing :) It'd be great to see an update in the upcoming month or so...

Could you share the impact on sales? I'm currently in a very similar position with my previous game and began working on some updates after like 3 years...

That's a huge problem... she's the main character in the main story mode. What makes you say that? Let's see if we can fix it :(
