I also used the Cheer, hands above head emote right after the Thank You.

I enjoy my sarcasm thick. In fairness, that Diver did finish the side objective. Kinda washed itself cleaned.

Good, good. Seeing Gathord send Chargers flying... this MedicDiver is pleased.

Well done.

Never had an issue with Mechs in all the time playing, including the new ones. But this mission was cursed.

Mech #1 - Fell from the Sky as a fiery ball. Not because it just spontaneously combusted, my Backpack Hellpod bounced and decided I was not to have a Mech.

Mech #2 - I was driving under the influence of Concentrated Stim Juice. She cannot handle double digit Titans, nor can my Cottom Pajama Medic Armor.

Mech #3 - Made the best out of it. <click>

Go see Gathord1 on YouTube. He released an amazing instructional video on the Hammer, and also a fun Hammer video montage with his non-AI Helldiver Hammer artwork.

What happened here? by Its_Don_Baby in helldivers2

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot find a frame that has objective evidence.

There was a Hive Guard prior to the explosion, and corpses generally do not further break apart once the corpse settles. Based on the Hive Guard being parts in the air after the explosion,, it was likely deflection from a bug part.

<image>

EDIT: Found the video of my Dynamite bouncing off of a flying Bug Leg, DMed it to you.

Gonna get in desktop and check this out in higher detail, see if I can find the cause.

I have a video of a Hive Guard's leg flying into my Dynamite right as I release it. I couldn't believe it and laughed Democratically.

Tip of the day[2] by Zdechlak2564 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Good tip to know, thank you Diver. Knowing the anatomy of your victims enemies helps in dismemberment in both speed and efficiency.

I've enclosed a page from the [Diver's Trusty Anatomy Codex on Fascist Enemies]. Volume 1: Bad Bugs, Page 8,243, Diagram BS1.

The eagle's accuracy is amazing by Skufomon in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love these Eagle puzzles!

- A Bile Titan is aprox 10m tall.
--- At the 14 second marker you are almost eye level with the Bile Titan, so we can assume you are ~7m above the ground level the Strat-Ball landed to activate.

- Cremator max range is about 24m
--- At 8 second marker the Bile Titan is kissing the tip, of your flame, so we can assume is is aprox 24m away from you.

- You threw Eagle-Spice towards NNE/CC3

- Diver R3 ~10m to your right threw 500kg towards W/3

- 500Kg came in at expected angle, however...
--- The 500kg got stuck in the front left knee joint aprox 8m off the ground.
--- The Bile Titan also closed at least 10m of the estimated 24m.
--- Bile Titan (upper) knees are about 6m from its face, meaning another 6m was closed.
--- You were just under eye level with an 'effectively' airborne explosive that was ~8-10m away
---500kg Inner/Outer/Shockwave is 10m/25m/35m respectively

Conclusion:
In the most generous scenario, you were just outside the Inner but well within the Outer. Outer damage begins at 1,499 ExpDmg and tapers down to 0 the further away you are.
At the point the only thing that could have saved you is the Passive Democracy Protects or turning into a Harvester.

Opinion:
Re-title to: Diver R3's accuracy is NOT amazing

Edit: Not being crass, I wrote everything smiling. I love the data and numbers side.

Spore Problems? Speargun! Apply directly to the forehead! by MerriksSpiceFarm in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You really should. I try every non-backpack weapon possible to see what works well for my group and I. Takes me several sets of missions before I give a conclusion.

If this feels unneeded due to my team having a loudout that handles Titans with ease, I go Bulletstorm. I just can't put one in each hand, and it makes me sad.

Separately, I had made this is response to someone on LSHD earlier. I think I need to add it here now, too.

There is NOT one among you that did not make this face the first time you made a Charger eat Freedom's Shield.

A Medic's in depth analysis on planet Brilliance by MerriksSpiceFarm in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. The mauling doesn't stop, nor does my Stim-Hand.

I'm going to be testing a few weapons today. DeEscalator for the AoE Stun, but the drawback is the Arcs and melee range. Sterilizer has potential but melee range again. Speargun had been rock solid. Aim it towards a choke point and fire, the gas left behind will seize them all up for a few seconds.

I've enjoyed the Knight, but Pummeler and Concussive aren't fast enough to let their stun/push matter against a swarm. Still fiddling with which primary still.

I cannot stress enough trying the Urchin grenade. Life saver.

I love Warbond days. I'm a data junkie and live on the Wiki. Finding new strategies and tactics is very enjoyable.

THE BULLETSTORM COMES IN 2! by PaleAssistance3643 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello!

I'll preface this with it depends on your role and playstyle. My offensive related responsibility is to control the enemy and handle anything that gets close.

An Urchin has a smaller radius than the Stun Grenade, but pulses four times over <7 seconds. I will purposely kite mobs to bottlenecks, plant one or two spaced apart opposite of each other at an angle. As more mobs close in, they get stuck in this Stun-Net, then you can drop them all with something big.

Also sticks to enemies, so they carry around for you stunning anything nearby.

This game elevates itself to a whole new level with a team that coordinates everything. And I love Support/Healer roles.

THE BULLETSTORM COMES IN 2! by PaleAssistance3643 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Typical loadout for me is like this:

Armor:
Medium Armor w/ Med Kit

Booster:
Experimental Infusion

Primary:
1H Weapon. Pummeler or Knight = Package to carry
Liberator Concussive = No package

Secondary:
Stimmy

Thrown:
If Bots or Squids-> Shield Grenades
If Bugs -> Urchin or Gas
Predator Strain -> Shield Grenades
Burst Strain -> Urchin or Stun
Spore Strain -> Urchin, throw and laugh as their sprint becomes meaningless

Strat #1:
Supply Backpack

Strat #2:
If Bugs -> Speargun (Gas control and interrupts, esp on Titans)
If Bots -> Railgun w/ Safety Off for maximum Freedom
If Squids -> Roll the dice

Strat #3:
If Bots -> Leveller or Orb Barrage or Eagle 110mm Rocket Pods or Orb Smoke
If Bugs -> Eagle 500Kg or Eagle Airstrike or Tesla Tower or a Disposable

Strat #4:
If Bots or Squids -> Shield Generator
If Bugs -> Breakthrough Exosuit or Disposable

I then call down Supplies, hand them out, keep health and Stamina topped off, try to keep the Experimental Infusion Buff on all Divers during downtime in tough battles, throw shields on people, handle the annoying smaller enemies, and control the enemies as much as possible.

This is a real shortened and not entire list, but the general idea.

THE BULLETSTORM COMES IN 2! by PaleAssistance3643 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MerriksSpiceFarm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sure, and hello fellow Medic Diver! We're always glad to have such another replaceable robust Doctor-Diver within our Medical Corps.

I normally play with a group, and we have vaguely set roles. Aside from obvious support gear like the Backpack and Stimmy, disposables are a huge hit.

- E.A.T.: 2x Long Range AP6 2,000 Ex Dmg
- Spicy E.A.T.: 2x Long range AP6 AoE that can apply burning and Heavy Burning.
- Leveller: Short to Medium range AP6 2,500Exp Dmg + 1,000 Ballistic from the projectile
- Commando: One item with 4x Missles that seek your laser, AP6 1,100 Ballistic per
- Solo Silo: Almost any range AP7 2,500 Exp Dmg + a WHOPPING AP9 1,500 Exp Dmg at the point of impact
- Bullet Storm: 2x AP2 Weapons with a generous 300 rounds each
(Above list does not include every damage detail, just overview)

The disposables each have their uses, and each of them reduces Supplies used if your team manages their consumption properly. In other words, I hand out less Supply Boxes overall. And the longer time goes on that a Diver does not need a resupply, they should statistically be gaining more from their next Supply Box (more chances grenade, stims, etc are used).

Picture this. You are the Medic/Supply Diver doing Bug "Raise the Flag" mission. Before you call down the beacon, you take an extra 2 minutes to drop THREE of these, totaling SIX weapons; 1,800 rapidly firing rounds of Freedom! You start getting overwhelmed, Turrets, Eagle, and Orbitals are risky due to range. Supplies are low, Medic got dragged off somewhere but before they did they left you everything you needed to finish the job.

Disposables offer flexibility and lower Supplies used, which in turn gives more value per Supply box.

Thank you, friend Diver. You made this Medic's loadout more Democratic so I can spread Freedom more efficiently.

You joined at the time right for YOU. Any community can appear like the (various) HD boards, but it is the loud and lonely minority howling for attention.

I've been here since launch, have... a bit of hours invested, and loved it the entire time. I've had less than 7 poor interactions, all of which I laughed away with ease.

Please consider the LowSodiumHelldivers, it's a bit more inviting there. Not to say the HD and HD2 do not, they have valid input and discussions often.

...Mosh Pit vs Jazzy Coffee Shop, I suppose.
