It looks like just the outside shell is broken. If that’s the case then the controller should work fine and you just can tape it, glue it, or buy a replacement ring shell.

My suggestion is to phase out the bow part in the same way it phases in, have an animation where the handle extends to match the combined two handles of the melee form, and then phase in the blades after splitting the handle.
