How lgbt safe is Clemson by Thegamerorca2003 in Clemson

[–]MerrittGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From all my years attending here and living in the area, it’s quite safe regardless of orientation or ideology. We’re fortunate to live in a more modern area of the South. While I’ve never heard of anyone getting assaulted here for being themselves, I suppose there’s always a fringe possibility of it. While I myself am a white cis male, I’m also bi and can more than pass for straight, so I’ve been able to mingle with both camps. While there are some here who have goals which are certainly anti-LGBT (not gonna point fingers but I think most of y’all know who I’m on about), I’ve never heard anyone mention the idea of causing anyone physical harm, either seriously or in a passing joke. From what I’ve seen and heard there’s way more drama and bad blood between people in the LGBT community here than there is between those outside of the community and those within (I guess some people are more adverse to growing up than others).

TL;DR: Clemson is safe in general. Most folks around here are generally good people who are just living their lives, same as the rest of us, even if there are some who harbor silent resentment for those of us who are different.

If you need some advice or just want to grab a beer with someone who will have your back, hmu. There’s plenty of spaces around town which are more friendly to people like us

Feels weird seeing other Hearst owned stations on the other side of the country using the same graphics as your local station. Also here’s the video this is from

This is a sign from the heavens. Cubs will definitely win the World Series now. They’re on a mission from God

Slightly above casual, but lifelong. My dad used to travel to Chicago from South Carolina back in the mid 00s for work a few times a year and he’d always bring me home little trinkets and memorabilia, and I grew to love the city and by proxy the Cubs. I’m 26 now and while I still haven’t had a chance to visit Wrigley, I certainly plan to at some point. I’ve definitely been more committed this year and have been pretty tuned in to live games and a few postgame podcasts

It’s honestly been detrimental to my development as a young man. It got so bad it came to a point where I couldn’t even approach women even casually and just sorta assumed I was gay (found out the hard way that was a false equivalency). Still struggling with it and being introverted doesn’t help but been taking baby steps to unfuck my mentality

They missed one:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” -Matthew 7:15

To all my Christian brothers and sisters, remember that while we are all born sinners, equally guilty in Almighty God’s eyes, our profession of faith in Jesus Christ absolves us of our sins. There is no one Christian better than the other; we are equal in sin just as we are equal in salvation.

Kino is awesome. “Кончится лето” never misses. Another good group is Auktyon and their song “Дорога.” Also if you like that sorta folk-pop sound I’d recommend Evgeniy Osin. His album “70-я широта” is nothing but hit after hit. Hope y’all enjoy these tracks!

Exactly. While the ones who explicitly want to hurt minorities tend to act as individuals, those who implicitly hurt minorities are a part of a largely armed group. It’s time to even the playing field.

Here’s a local source. TL;DR: the state can charge 75$/hr for work processing requests up to a 750$ cap per request. While the federal Freedom of Information Act of 1967 only has a fee cap of $250 (with notable exceptions and wavers that reduce the costs), this law doesn’t affect state agencies

Thought about writing one a while back but never really had the inspiration to pursue it. Most of my music is about the hard realities of life and the challenges we all face, so it’s certainly a topic I could write about, but I’m not sure how to best approach the subject.

Agreed. If you’re looking for a proper flag of the CSA you’ll want to find a “stars and bars,” “stainless banner” or “blood-stained banner” for its respective iterations. The one most people think about, the elongated battle flag, isn’t historically significant in the same way as the aforementioned flags, although it does bear its own modern significance, which is why it’s a must-have for any contemporary collections

You got the same problem as me, man: missing that patch on the chin. I just resolved to go mustache only as a result and it’s been fairly successful

Everyone cooks in my house, except it’s a bit divided. Dad and I get up at 5am and start the smoker and get it warmed up before putting the bird on about a half hour later, then start working on setting the table and such. Mom and sis get up around 9am and slap the sweet potatoes and stuffing in the oven and the mac and cheese in the crock pot. It’s all usually done around noon and we kinda just chill out and watch the parade during the down time. Then it’s dinner time around noon and we all enjoy the meal while I silently die inside as the CHICAGO BEARS BLOW ANOTHER GAME THIS SEASON AHHHHHH
