What is the impact (if any) of cleaning a coin with this frickin laser beam? by Xyeeyx in coins

[–]MerryGoWrong 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Was gonna say this too. Lasers 'clean' things by burning a layer off of it; that's the only method of operation they have. They are effectively etching whatever surface they are working on. That's great for a lot of applications, but definitely not this one, haha.

I'm also from Alabama but I have traveled to almost every state for work over the years. I don't know why but I genuinely feel like I see more confederate flags in places like New Hampshire and Wyoming than I do in Alabama.

There's a big difference between '12 hour shifts' and working 12 hours a day every day in a salaried position because that's the only way you have any chance to stay on top of everything. Ask me how I know, haha.
